Personal Note #2

People only care about you as long as you fulfill a need that they possess.

In the early days when I first started shooting, I was very naive to the concept of people only trying to get close to you so they could use your gift for their benefit. People “befriended” me, and expected discounts and A+ customer service. The thing about selling yourself short tho is that it kills you very slowly. It eats away at your motivation, and completely destroys your inspiration. Every time you sell yourself short, it’s like taking a knife to your own flesh and cutting yourself. “Oh, don’t even trip, I got you for 50.” *SLICE* “You want a whole music video, plus drone shots and scribble? Okay. $150.” *SLICE* “Oh you 3 hours late? It’s all good, I’m on my way.” *SLICE* Pretty soon, you’ll be all out of blood and you’ll be wondering why a year later you don’t love doing what you do the same way anymore. Don’t ever sell yourself short.

Personal Note #1

The day you decide to start chasing your dream, pursuing your calling, whatever you want to call it, is big one. You don’t know what’s on the road ahead of you. Looking back over all that’s happened over the past year and some change, I put a lot of people on. When people start to get attention, for some, it starts to get to their head. These are all normal people who get a little taste of fame and don’t know what to do with it. They get an inflated sense of ego, they get very arrogant and sometimes lazy. I’ve learned that my name and my talent has amassed quite a bit of power. You put niggas on and they start building their name up and making some money, they stop answering your calls, less motivated to jump up and help you as they were before. You can do everything for them but that’s still not enough… which leads me to believe that there is a variable to the equation that I am missing. Either way I have the power to bring people from sheer obscurity to the limelight. And the scale of that power will only grow from here. Gotta be careful who I give that gift to tho. Not everybody deserves it.
