He canonically is a protector and friend to sex workers, yet an enemy to the system that keeps them trapped. He is disdainful towards the uber wealthy, yet capable of showing empathy towards people of all stations.

I find the discourse of “Jason is just a big softie” vs “no, he’s a brute” to be so telling. He’s both AND he’s neither. The idea that Jason is a softie comes from people looking down on his extreme empathy towards women and children. The idea that he’s a brute is usually a classist argument because he grew up in Crime Alley.

In truth, Jason is just punk. He cares about PEOPLE, and is willing to show both kindness and harshness to build the world he wants to see.

Explanation: found a kitten in the yard last weekend. Brought her inside because several feral kittens died in the weeks leading up to finding her (both some I had been keeping an eye on, some from neighboring family, and apparently in other places around the area according to local social media, all with very little knowledge on how or why it happened - kitten perfectly normal one day, dead or dying the very next)

She ate and drink pretty normally for the first week (some days she ate more, some less) all in all, somewhere between 2-6 tablespoons worth of mixed food daily.

Yesterday, she stayed in my room because we had a crowd over and one of them included a large dog who doesn’t know the difference in kittens vs cats, and thus can’t be left alone with the kitten, I brought her out to cuddle a few times throughout the day, she behaved pretty normal, she didn’t eat much.

This morning - more tired, got sick twice before we found a place that was open, refused food and water, skin pinch test showed signs of dehydration.

At an emergency vet now, she’s getting poked and prodded in the other room so they can run tests and she won’t stop crying out because it’s painful or uncomfortable or scary and I JUST HAVE TO SIT HERE AND LISTEN TO IT 😭😭😭😭😭

Yesterday, she stayed in my room because we had a crowd over and one of them included a large dog who doesn’t know the difference in kittens vs cats, and thus can’t be left alone with the kitten, I brought her out to cuddle a few times throughout the day, she behaved pretty normal, she didn’t eat much.

This morning - more tired, got sick twice before we found a place that was open, refused food and water, skin pinch test showed signs of dehydration.

At an emergency vet now, she’s getting poked and prodded in the other room so they can run tests and she won’t stop crying out because it’s painful or uncomfortable or scary and I JUST HAVE TO SIT HERE AND LISTEN TO IT 😭😭😭😭😭

They gave her fluids because of the dehydration, they couldn’t catch a vein for blood because of how dehydrated she was. The fluids have made her cold so now I’m cuddling her and she’s just shivering like crazy 😭😭

Couldn’t get a lot of blood, it’s hopefully enough to run three types of tests which will be able to narrow down a few things

Tests are normal, looking at supportive care to help her eat and drink more, with a follow up with a general practitioner when she starts feeling better (or immediate care if there is no improvement or she gets worse)

Explanation: found a kitten in the yard last weekend. Brought her inside because several feral kittens died in the weeks leading up to finding her (both some I had been keeping an eye on, some from neighboring family, and apparently in other places around the area according to local social media, all with very little knowledge on how or why it happened - kitten perfectly normal one day, dead or dying the very next)

She ate and drink pretty normally for the first week (some days she ate more, some less) all in all, somewhere between 2-6 tablespoons worth of mixed food daily.
