Honestly this is going to be just a small text based thing to talk about what’s going on in my life.... mainly about how it’s hard to see so many staples leaving.... palcomix, a place I used to love to visit is going to be shutting down in a few months.... keijimatsu recently left us. Being one of my favorite artists. I can sympathize with his depression, but at the same time it really sucks. Sunibee as far as I know left us all a long time ago. And many of my favorite artists are in financial struggles. My life is going pretty steady as is otherwise I suppose. But here. It hurts to see all this happen you know?.... I’m rambling.... and I’m sure someone is listening. If I could ever get in touch with some of these artists again or just follow them again, it would mean a lot. It’s just one of the little things that gets me through the day.

Since it’s his profession to provide art to his followers, he needs to invest his life into doing this, and he has recently been losing traction and numbers. With the current amount of money he is making via patreon and commissions, he is going to need to stop doing art permanently because it’s not enough to pay for his real life necessities. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like Quin, and you think he’s an asshole, I encourage all of you to support him and help him get back on his feet. Trust me, he does not deserve what he’s been going though, and my caring is far from enough to make sure he stays happy. Please, for the sake of him, me, and this whole community.

I won’t disregard this post but I am going to be real here. I seriously doubt anyone will convince him to stop doing art all together. It’s up to him if he wants to keep doing art or find the reasons to keep doing it. If he was doing it for the money, then I’d understand that, doing commissions and patreon is like doing business.

From what I’ve asked about and put together, people are not supporting him due to his behavior. You’re asking people, some who probably had bad blood with him, to support him or he quits all together. It’s an awful thing to ask for, even when his skills as an artist is good. 

The problem lies in his behavior, I understand everyone has some flaws about themselves that they need to iron out but when it becomes the main reason you are losing business, then you need to take a step back to re-evaluate how you are doing things. He’s losing customers/supporters because of this, doesn’t matter how good your skills are as an individual if you treat people the wrong way. If you care, you’ll get him some help on that front asap, I’m sure some more people are capable of tolerating him to help him out.

That’s all I want to say on this matter.

As someone who used to be a friend of his (or at least tried to), I can attest to this statement.  The guy’s got some attitude adjustments that desperately need to be made.  An emotionally manipulative lad, that person is. This is a man who doesn’t seem to respect his audience either, getting pissed every time he’s not commissioned to draw his own OCs or to color an image he’s already done.

Be that as it may, I recognize that he has talent as an artist, and that he’s capable of creating good imagery.  It’s a shame to see skill potentially get brushed aside due to lack of attention.  However, when you have a shitty demeanor, people tend to stay far, far away from you…and when that shitty demeanor is a very viable reason your audience doesn’t want anything to do with you, it’s probably best to step back and consider, “maybe it’s me…”

I’m not here to tell anyone NOT to support anyone, but I’m just giving my perspective on the issue, you all are free to do as you please. Just remember, no one owes anyone success.  Your attitude and your actions, not just as an artist, but as a human being, determine whether or not you deserve people’s attention.

He also does amazing work and needs all the support he can get. He’s one of the best nsfw artists out there. And let’s be honest. We’ve all been in financial troubles. It’s not fun people. Quinn is more then willing to give us something special for our efforts. Something he doesn’t have to. He’s willing to listen to us. He’s become far more open then he’s ever been. Please.
