I didn't feel Christmas spirit that much, in the last years. Hey, there's nothing wrong with Christmas. I usually try the way to enjoy the warm relaxed atmosphere. I read a lot, draw and sketch a lot and, of course, I play music and write songs a lot. Ok, I must admit, at the very end I like Christmas. This year I'm going to like it a little more. The italian music magazine Mescalina Musica launched a very huge compilation inspired by Christmas and gathered a variegated and well flavored pack of independent artists. It will be available for free download starting from tomorrow until jan6th. I will provide the link as soon as they will put it online.
There are some of my favorite artists, such as Blessed Child Opera, Paolo Bonfanti and some other great musicians. And, on the other side, there is also me. :)
I will play Coconut Records song It's Christmas . Because I think that Jason Schwartzman is absolutely super kick-ass cool either as an actor and as a musician. I'm also present as illustrator for the cover. By the way, It took some time and rehearsals before the song was chosen. There's a ton of incredible indie tunes around, from Bright Eyes to the Kinks. I've tried some of them and recorded those two. The other song is from Palace Songs, aka Palace Brothers, aka Bonnie Prince Billy and all its names :) I hope you like it. Hey, happy christmas! :)
