In the opinion of most, a Slytherin-Hufflepuff hatstall was impossible. Lucy Weasley knew that it wasn’t, mostly because she’d been the first in Hogwarts’ history. But this, she decided, was a secret she’d carry to her grave. She’d chosen Hufflepuff, not wanting to disappoint her family, which she had a vast and baffling quantity of. That choice aside, her snake’s cunning was always evident. She was friendly, yes, but she chose her friends carefully. Kind to a fault, but mysteriously absent in moments of intense emotional need, and never seen taking the fall for any of the rule-breaking escapades her little gang seemed to be involved in. Nobody would ever call her selfish, but her selfishness defined her. She knew she cared about people, but could never bring herself to make sacrifices on their behalf, or be there for them when their backs were against the wall. The word most frequently applied to Lucy at school started with a b and rhymed with witch. This was, on the whole, a source of both amusement and encouragement to her. If people said unkind things about the length of her skirt, she rolled it higher. If someone said she couldn’t handle her broomstick properly, she made a point to fall off it more. If the school lowered their expectations of her, she lowered them further. It was a game of sorts. She wasn’t an academic success, wasn’t the prim and proper daughter her father had wanted, so why not enjoy her time at school whilst she still had it? Lucy was, however, a straight-O Divination student, although this showed more of an aptitude for crafting elaborate fictions than an actual ability to see the future. And so, after graduating with more enemies than she could count on both hands and a miserly number of N.E.W.Ts, she took her talent for Making Things Up to an art school, dyed her hair blue, and destroyed whatever remaining hope Percy Weasley had for his errant daughter.

Underrated mythological creatures in YA books
I have always loved mythological creatures, but I think too many YA paranormal books focus on four creatures: vampires, werewolves, angels and fairies. So with the help of my followers (really they did all the work, I just wrote down the books into categories), I have compilied a list of books with underrated mythological creatures. Just to clarify, I haven’t read most of these books.

she come in my garden everyday and sit in front of me while I work on my sketchbook. she doesn’t want food, she just sit there looking at me. today I covered her in flower and we were both happy.
Maybe she’s your guardian angel.. I mean srsly. Just look at this cat.
There is way too much intelligence in those eyes. There is a goddess in your garden.
So I have a guardian angel and it comes in the form a cat. sweet
the nights are getting darker

Yes, I knew her.
Please be a traveler, not a tourist. Try new things, meet new people, and look beyond what’s right in front of you. Those are the keys to understanding this amazing world we live in.
