The first pint of Winter Graduale is here! Just in time for a tasting tomorrow. At just under 4%, you’ll feel the effects #gradualey 🧐 Made with a modest amount of Phillips’ own malt and select festive ingredients.

Road Trip Reviews: A Filthy Classic
Redman - Muddy Waters Guest reviewer: Ben's in one of his moods again. This certain type of energy and focus that arises when he's looking into a future of enjoying things he knows will be good. Album starts off with industrial dinosaur sounds, then we dive in. It's loud and aggressive. But there are dreamy underwater sounds in the background. This guy is talking about crimes and posturing. Sounds like he thinks he's got a big dick, which seems somehow relevant. He's throwing three full verses in a song, and it's nothing short of impressive. Track 5, a visiting rapper. Maybe it's Cross Breed. Redman's real name is Reggie Noble, which could be a rap persona in itself. We're doing over 70 in the Hyundai, no intentions to use the runaway lanes as we descend into Golden. This is an aggressive sounding album and Redman sounds fully raw, but a keen listener will notice that he's not preaching violence. He's winning with his rhythmic flow and his smart wordplay. Track 8 starts out with female moaning. What's that all about? There's a feeling of misogyny here. Followed by creative lyrics about boomboxes needing to organize and form unions. We hear from Method Man (Cheese) in track 11, which is real bassy and smooth. 16 tracks in and I'm not sure Redman has anything else to say to me that I haven't already heard. I know he's from the Bricks and he's about wreckin it in '96. Ben 7.5/10 Laura 8/10
