between claudia who has to perform politeness for her abuser (who wouldn’t know how deep her pain was felt) and lestat whose abuser dies in front of him as a show of power (magnus never having to actually live with the eternal “monster” that he has created)…

the way louis is owning all those hotels in chicago… how does he feel about urban renewal and decay and late stage capitalism

s3 kendall roy and the sins of his father as he tries to “leave the firm” [read: break the cycle]

- he betrays Logan when he realizes his complicity in the “no real person involved” scandal

- he assumes he is better than logan because he won’t standby in this corporate cover up but he still practices the same toxic corporate behavior as logan when he belittles the primarily female management team he hires

- he treats greg as disposable in the same way logan treats him as disposable

- on his birthday, he even neglects his children’s gifts the same way logan neglects theirs

AND WHEN HE THINKS HE’S LOSING CONTROL OF THE SITUATION HE TRIES TO RECLAIM IT AND FORCE HIS WISHES ON TO OTHERS re: logan not wanting to be surprised by the elevator at his birthday vs kendall forcing every one to drop their coats and phones

this has all probably already been said but im on my rewatch and omfg succession is one of the greatest tv shows in the past decade EASILY
