i know it fucking sucks to hear that shifting has no timeline. i know it sucks to be years in and not feel any closer. i know it sucks to feel like you’ve wasted your energy on something that may never come. but i can’t give you the assurance that you only have to persist for __ much longer until it’s “your turn”. i can’t. if you wanna shift, you have to lock in WITHOUT the assurance of how much time it will take. you have to trust yourself before the shift comes. and if you cannot do that, if you cannot help but turn against yourself and be self critical and self punishing, shifting is going to be detrimental to your mental well being.
everyone can shift, and shifting is inevitable but it doesn’t mean that everyone should label themselves a shifter. being a shifter comes with a toll. you get berated, by others and sometimes yourself. you experience the full scope of emotions for things you cannot prove. you go to awesome places, but sometimes there are terrible things in those places. you develop and evolve quicker than others because you can almost speed-run through life’s many obstacles and lessons. you will lose yourself only to gain 10 more of you. time stops being real. life here gets duller, less colorful, almost like a buffer for life there. you’ll experience more in one night than some people experience in 20 years. and all of this will exist only within your head.
it is PERFECTLY valid and reasonable if that toll is not something you can pay right now. or ever. please protect your peace. your peace is worth more than any DR. that, I PROMISE YOU, is the case for everyone.

Are you a shifter that gets really excited and confident about shifting and having almost no doubts at all for the whole day, but when it comes down to actually doing it, the doubt starts to hit you? Like you'd be great the whole day having planned to shift that night, and then when you're about to do your attempt, you're suddenly thinking, "What if I can't shift?" Or "what if i still wake up here?"
Just do it anyway. What if you DO shift? What if you DO wake up in your DR? I mean, even if you don't, you'll end up shifting one day. You should just not give up. That's really the only true way to guarantee failure. People have been trying for years and eventually shifted. It doesn't matter how long you've been trying. Try one more time. It could be the attempt that finally gets you to your DR.
I heard someone say, "A successful shifter is a shifter that tried one more time."
Even if you think the doubts are gonna stop you from shifting, you should still do it anyway. I mean, we all know that nothing can stop you from shifting. Doubts don't mean shit. Everybody gets them, even the most experienced shifters.

My first out of 3 most memorable shifting experiences so far
I dont remember exactly when this was, but I know it was around August 2024. I still haven't fully shifted, so I'm honestly not even sure what these count as. This was a few months after I started my shifting journey again.
I was about to lay down for an afternoon nap, but I ended up changing my mind about sleeping and decided to attempt to shift. I started by imagining that I was leaving my body and floating upwards, and after a few minutes into the method, I began feeling lightheaded, and my mind was spinning like crazy.
I started to feel a pull as if something was pulling me out of my body. Then, I felt my surroundings change. It didn't feel like I was moving at this point, but instead, it felt as if everything else was moving around me. Unfortunately tho, I was with my cousin in the room. She made a loud sound, and everything immediately stopped as if nothing was happening in the first place.
I was kinda pissed because I felt like I was so close.
people who've shifted, please tell me if what I was feeling was almost a shift at the very least.
I still felt really happy about it after, though.🤭

So, I’m kind of stuck on whether this was a shifting experience or not, and I wanted to ask what you all think about it. Here's what happened:
A few days ago, I woke up like usual, everything seemed pretty normal. But as I was going through my day, something started feeling off—not in a bad way, but just a sense of difference. I went to a store that I’ve been to many times, but something was strange about the name. I swore it had never had an “and” in it before, but in that moment, it felt like it had always been that way. I brushed it off as maybe just misremembering, but then something else happened.
There’s this other store I’ve passed many times near my nephews’ school, and I noticed that the name had something about beer at the top, which was so weird because I remember it being completely different before—there was something with a “B” in it. But when I checked it out this morning, it was back to how I remembered it. This whole thing got me questioning if I actually saw things right or if my mind was just playing tricks.
I’ve been wondering if this was me shifting to a different version of my reality, or if I’m just reading too much into things. There were those little changes, things that felt familiar but different at the same time, and it was almost like I was seeing a what-if version of the reality I’m in right now.
So... what do you all think? Was this a shift, or am I just overthinking things? I'd really love some opinions because right now, I’m honestly not sure what to make of this experience.
And btw, the day before that, I decided that I'd wake up in literally any reality, just not that one, and that it didn't matter how big or small the difference is, but I'm still not sure

You don't understand (you probably understand), but imagine it didn't exist. You'd have to stay in this reality that sucks and is full of hate. And even when you actually start to really enjoy your life, you keep thinking, "I only get to do this once?!"
You can be whatever you want, wherever and whenever you want to be. DO YOU GET THAT?!!

IDK ABOUT YOU, BUT I'M ROMANTICIZING MY DR
I'm putting my DR on that pedestal. It's just what works for me. If I don't romantizise something, it usually just means I don't want it bad enough. Even when it comes to normal things about my CR, like traveling to see my mom. I'm thinking about what I'm gonna eat on the bus, how it's gonna feel sitting on those uncomfortable seats (it feels uncomfortable), and the sleep. I romanticize EVEYTHING. If I don't put my dr on that pedestal, I'm not gonna put that much effort, if any at all.
On top of all the motivation, it works for me.
Obviously, we are different, and what works for me might not work for you or someone else. What I am saying is that IF SOMETHING WORKS FOR YOU THEN YOU SHOULDN'T LET SOME RANDOM PERSON ON THE INTERNET WHO DOESN'T KNOW YOU OR YOUR EXPERIENCES TELL YOU, YOU SHOULDN'T DO IT.
What works for you works for you, and what works for me works for me😘

How i deal with negative thoughts ೃ❀࿔

I understand how NOT helpful it can be to be told “just persist” when dealing with doubts
Even though it’s true, i often found myself wondering HOW to actually persist and not dwell on bad thoughts.
Keep in mind that im -diagnosed- with ocd, i know exactly how overwhelming thoughts can get and the anxiety and spirals that can come with it.
so, how to do it?
♡ It’s important to affirm. As soon as you get ONE contradicting thought, go “No, that’s not it, not the case anymore. Now it’s xyz”.
If needed just rant and rant about how your desire is already here and all that stuff. Affirm for a while, literally.
♡ Now, when it gets TOOOO overwhelming?? I found a little “method” that really helps me come back to the present moment, even discussing it with my therapist she said it was a very very good idea.
When my affirmations do not help me get back on track, i bring myself back to the present moment by saying (this is best if done outloud in my opinion ) what you are doing, and then your affirmation, let me give you an example:
“I’m brushing my hair and i have 10k €s”
“I’m breathing slowly and i’m in my dream college”
Do this until you need to.
♡ Another thing i suggest to do, if the bad thoughts just won’t leave you alone, force yourself to visualise a scenario in which it is done.
Visualising (visualising, not imagining) requires more effort than affirming. Really focus on the scene and all the senses.
♡ lastly! You can do this if you’re at home, when you can’t get rid of bad thoughts, hears me out, exercise, exercise and each rep affirm, i promise this sounds silly but helps a lot!!
I promise you got this! I know maybe u do not really believe this but NEGATIVE THOUGHTS GET BETTER!!!
I too had my highs and lows, but repetition really does help those thoughts. I promise they will get less and less, you will learn to deal with them!!! Do not give up! And take care of yourself!🎀🧘♀️
