IG POST Hello there folks, I see you all apart of this whole amazement we call life. Do you see me? We truly live in an amazing time period, both good and bad, but firmly believe the good outweighs the bad. It often doesn’t get publicized to the rampant degree the negative does. I wanted to produce a more personal post and see how this style of engagement does here. Also, do other artists out there find it increasingly difficult to wear all the many hats necessary to be a self sufficient artist? The more I work for others, the more I find myself burned out, to put on the many hats necessary for monetary success. For me, success can and does include having a roof over my head, being rich with health, friends, family and creative communities, near and far. I feel pretty good admitting that these aspects are fulfilled and expanding all the time. It’s just that money aspect and the time/energy needed to further my career, like pitching works to galleries, writing grants, conceptualizing shows or projects, and selling work. How hard has it been for people to find these type of folks to work with? I am looking for relatable galleries, institutions, social marketers, promoters, curators, directors, collectors, wizards, sorcerers, influencers, and general janes of all trades. This life takes all types and is necessary for it all to function properly, as is our planet and multiverse, as a whole. If you are a person or know someone with any of the earlier mentioned skills, can help, collaborate, be hired, hire me, find a synthesis that works, please reach out? This is one of the few ways I see being able to troubleshoot this giant hole in my career. Use this social media for the great tool can be, instead of a giant dictionary of memes, gifs and digressive fodder. I’ve been guilty too but attempt to recourse this as often as possible. And in closing, my toolbox is full of artistic skill sets that I’m willing and able to share, collaborate, and work with the right people who are about it.
