Adam dipped his head slightly in acknowledgement, a silent ‘likewise’ in the gesture. At the question, he let his shoulders roll up into a partial shrug, replying, “No particular reason, actually. I have a tendency to wander at times.” His tone was faintly sheepish.

Effy smiled. "I love doing that. I tend to make things up as I go along, never making a real plan for anything. It's easier, you know?" She used to always leave her house at random times, traveling all over Europe. This time she traveled around the US, deciding there was a good place to stay until she decided where she wanted to go next.
