I want to reiterate that there’s a lot about LA that I like.  My apartment is amazing, the weather is nice, biking is not impossible like I’d been told it would be, the food is amazing (oops), I do have some friends that I had before moving here who hang out with me when their busy lives permit.  Things have been rough though.

The Election Adventures of Emily

The next morning I had to get on a 6 am plane to LA to find where I now live.  I slept four hours and found out at the airport right before getting on my plane.  It didn’t feel real because a. wow, it still doesn’t, and b. I was suddenly in California trying to forge a new life.  Here we are, though.  Some strange cross between a Clickhole article and a The Purge.

If it seems like I should have posted this comic sooner, you’re probably right.  This night has certainly been on my mind for a long while.  We’re entering the third week of presidency now and it’s no less a horror show than the first hour.  I encourage each and every one of you to fight however you can.  Donate to the ACLU, march in protests, make phone calls (this makes it easier https://5calls.org/ ).  Do what you can and take a break to avoid burnout.  We are not done.  We are never done.  I love all of you.
