HC+Flight
Blast is most comfortable in flight–it is his best mode of transportation and he would often take to their air during battle because this is where he felt he could do more. He takes great pride in his wings for this reason and his massive size did little to hinder his maneuverability. It’s because of this combination that he kept his position in the 7th Unit during the First Maverick War.

Through the Rift
The blonde froze mid-step down the sidewalk, the hazy waver that had melted into view in the air in front of him throwing all sorts of off-kilter readings across his optics.

Given the rather surprised look in his face, Blast opted not to move forward, knowing just from that expression on that Zero’s face that he had probably caught the other by surprise—though it was hard to imagine Commander Zero being surprised by anything. That, and he knew better than to be in close proximity with anyone who is in that state who had a weapon, albeit deactivated—though it’ll take not more than a second to activate.

It didn’t take terribly long for said commander to snap out of it, lowering his hand from where it had, instinctively, lifted as if to flick his blade into activation. He kept the hilt in-hand, absently beginning to pass it between his fingers once again after a moment or two.

He watched his commander’s alternate, dropping his salute right after. If he had smirked, Rei still wouldn’t be able to see it courtesy of his faceguard—Blast had no doubt, after that remark, that this was indeed an iteration of Zero elsewhere.
“As do you. Similar experience in your world?” Without so much a gesture, he ordered his mini-hornets to convene back to him and return to their compartment. “Yeah, you’re not.” Tempted to not leave out the ‘sir’—he knew better—he shrugged. “But knowin’ my commander, and a little idea on how my alternates had ended up...”
He had not met another one like him that didn’t… well.
“Unless I’m still alive and kickin’ in your world, but I’d rather let you know first I’m not hostile.” And given this one hadn’t attempted anything to slice through him, rather, listened for one, gave him that bit of idea that he wasn’t hostile either. For now.
The orb didn’t escape his sight, though, as he silently watched it move about and…communicate with this Zero. Or whatever it is. Seeing stranger things in his life, he fought the urge to shake his head. “Rift just opened to you, or you’re one of those unlucky ones who stumbled in one at the wrong time?” The image of a certain Oni entering their world through a rift in the skyway came to mind—boy was that lady lucky enough it hadn’t been rush hour.
Through the Rift
Blast frowned as he tapped one of his earguards with his finger–he had been just communicating over with the navigator, having already finished his patrol for the day and suddenly there was momentary static over the comm line.
“[static] Blast Hornet, do you copy?”
He blinked, just as the comm line cleared up. “Yeah, I hear you. Something made the connection fizz out for a moment there.”
“It’s another energy disturbance just around your Area.” There was a brief pause, and charts were now pinged for him to view in his IM. “It’s similar to the previous entries made by those in the alternate worlds.”
“Great. More visitors.” Blast ordered several of his mini hornets out to look for the offworlder. “I’m on it, Iris. Over and out.”
It didn’t take long for one of his mini hornets to spot the remnants of the rift that had just opened, and a visual of their visitor near it. His eyes widened as he realized who their visitor looked like, and immediately went to the scene, stopping not far from where the other is–not far enough for him to not be recognized but not near enough that, if their visitor was hostile, he’d get sliced.
“Commander Zero?“
The blonde froze mid-step down the sidewalk, the hazy waver that had melted into view in the air in front of him throwing all sorts of off-kilter readings across his optics.

That, and he knew better than to be in close proximity with anyone who is in that state who had a weapon, albeit deactivated—though it’ll take not more than a second to activate.
He also knew this wasn’t this world’s Commander Zero—the confirmation of the energy signal and the rift closing after this one told him enough, plus there were some differences between his Commander and the Zero in front of him.
Still acknowledging that he is, in fact, a Zero, Blast straightened up, and saluted. “Lieutenant Commander Blast Hornet of the Special Zero Unit, sir, you must’ve come from one of those alternate worlds.”
From this post:
Despite it being comfortable hovering, Blast chose to walk that distance from where they were at to the Hunter Headquarters—it wasn’t where he remembered it was but he was sure that’ll be his destination for today—knowing that it’d probably be safer that way (he was not going to engage a fellow Hunter) plus if he did, he was going to stand several more feet taller than the him. That General Honami chose not to handcuff him meant the other at least believed him. Hopefully.

Hornet “Honey” Woman glanced up at the robot that she had nearly bumped into at her workplace. Oh, was that a Robot Master? …But she had never seen a Robot Master so large before. And she had never encountered another Robot Master based off of bees before!
And he looked somewhat puzzled. Was he somewhere that he had never been in before?
So she stopped her watering of the plants, but gestured to her Hornet Chasers to continue doing thus, and approached Blast Hornet with a smile.
"You look a little lost, good sir," she said to him. "Is everything alright, or do you need to be pointed in the right direction?" One Hornet Chaser approached Blast Hornet curiously, before Honey frowned at it and shooed it away in case it bothered him.
She watched the mini-hornet for a moment to make sure that it was doing what she had assigned it to do, before turning back to Blast. “Most would not be. Even now they aren’t,” she told him, humming quietly. “But if that’s what you are supposed to do, then at least you are keeping the peace.” Humans weren’t her favorite species, but there wasn’t much that she could do about it.
"Can you tell just before they appear?" Honey asked, with some curiosity. "Or is there a certain way that they look?" Summoning portals sounded like something out of one of Rock’s video games, anyways. And she was busy, working all throughout her conversation with Blast. "It was fine - I am quite ahead of schedule, anyways."
She nodded to him. “Then I suggest you stay around that area, so that you can get back home.” While Dr. Light would find him fascinating and eagerly chatter away at him, the rest of the world would be more than cautious.
“Even here, huh.” With him just settled there on the ground, all he could do was watch the area—including the one where he knew he’d gotten in from—and his hostess and her little helpers. “On our end, yeah. It’s another matter with humans also trying to start anything, it’s kinda hard to protect someone who didn’t want your protection.”
Blast shook his head. “You won’t be able to see it right away, it’s a matter of sensing that the rift has opened.” He was still trying to get the hang of things plus this was an accidental rift. “I wish I can tell more, but as it is, I’m still just as lost as to how these things work.”
It would be real helpful if he does get a hold of how it does work, seeing as he’s been falling into accidental rifts every now and then.
He nodded right back at her suggestion, and had Honey mentioned it, he would be more delighted to talk to Dr. Light—it’s like talking to the father of all Reploids. “I will. If it’s alright, would ya mind if I get some of my own out to pick up any hint of a rift opening?” With his mini-hornets directly linked with him, it’ll be faster once they do see an opportunity for a portal re-opening.
Kids These Days [@ Blast-Hornet]
Xav nodded, rocking back and forth on his heels. “I believe it. Most Xs do.” He wasn’t all that surprised to learn that the X of this universe - whatever kind of person he was - shared that trait with him. “…I think everyone has some good in them. It’s just harder to find it in some people than in others. And some don’t want to admit that they have the potential for good.”
He blushed slightly at the tone, though that was the only sign of embarrassment that he had. “Well, um… it’s not that confusing. Most people like to have a nickname of sorts that the others don’t have so that we know which person that we are talking about. No weirder than going to another country or meeting a Reploid that looks like yourself… right?”
Xav watched the small hornets as they buzzed out of Blast’s compartment, before turning back to the bee-based Reploid in front of him. “Uh, it’s a bit subtle, but there’ll be a small… ripple in space around where they are, if you really focus, you can make it open up… there is an energy signature of sorts, but you’ll only sense it if it’s about to open up or close.”
“Sometimes, it’s just every man for themselves. Or Reploids.” Blast remarked, his thoughts momentarily drifting to some distant memory. “If you live in that kind of a world, it’s hard to find people who’d do the right thing when the easier way’s doing just the opposite.” He admired those who can believe it though—it’s just hard to understand how they still could after everything that had happened.
At the mention of nicknames, the Hunter found himself blinking. “Like an alias?” Though it did appear that other worlds had actual names for X, like the kid in front of him. “Damn it’ll probably hurt my head to figure out which is the Commander amongst his alternates if they were in the same room.”
At that piece of information, Blast scratched the base of his antenna. “A ripple in space… Y’know if it wasn’t for your presence here I wouldn’t believe stuff like those existed. Parallel worlds… Portals…” Despite this, his command was relayed to the mini-hornets—search for a place within the Area that seemed out of place or felt off. “This won’t take long if that portal’s open.”

"So, my handler attempted a thing."
"She's incredibly nervous for her job interview in a few hours so she ended up sketching to try and get her mind off of it. She's currently trying to figure out how my bottom half works."
"So, yeah, have a WIP."

♙ :Most malicious act tied to your name
“I… Had been careless.” He looked away, as the memories came back. “When I had been taken and had the Worm inserted in my systems, I was in charge of the Maverick’s armory during the fourth Maverick Rebellion that had taken place in Dopplertown.”
He paused for a moment, as he allowed his mini-hornets out to move about him, as though he needed protection from something. “I killed a lot of people then. Innocent people. That armory… All those personnel? All wiped out by me.”
Blast straightened up. “After the removal of the Worm, I had been on a strictly-watched probation. I expressed my desire to serve the Hunters once more – it was the only way I can atone for all those deaths. My name would still have that record. And it would stay that way, a reminder of what I should look out for.”
♗ :A kill you have been known to boast about
“I was still in the 7th then. I have to admit, there’s no real pride in killing one of your own. But these Mavericks… I was on patrol then when they moved to attack a large department store. Thousands of humans would’ve died that day had we not seen them en route and took them down. I know it's not something to boast about, as taking care of Mavericks is our duty, but it felt good to have done so. Even without those people knowing what we've done.”
Mysterious Package
yooddandodd
(It’s ok! I know what its like, oh but I’m bad at starters…I’ll give it a shot!) “Hello? Is this a Mr…Blast Hornet? I have a package for you!”
Safe to say he wasn’t expecting anything from the courier that day, as he made his way out of Hunter HQ. Staring at the ‘courier’, he nodded - despite being an officer he never assumed anyone knew him at first glance despite the obvious countenance. “Yes, I am he.” he answered. “… A package? From who?”
Depth Dragoon rubbed his snout in concern, “I’m not particularly sure! The label only has the name ‘Sig’ and no return address. We were about 5 seconds away from tossing it out, but a scan revealed nothing explosive, and the post master decided it was alright to deliver it.”
His scans automatically went up, as he stared at the package the courier has sent. Looking up at him, he hesitated to actually take it. “Postmaster did?” That there was no way yet to scan for the infection that had been quite known in the other worlds, Blast Hornet wasn’t surprised that it wasn’t done here for now. “But I wasn’t expecting any packages… Sig…” He knew few people with that name.
The rifts hate Sai.
He nodded, the knowledge of such a virus and a cure for it something he would take note to do some investigative work later – if this virus had existed in Lt. Gen. Caterwaul’s time, chances are whatever had hit them a long time ago wasn’t the end of viral attacks as a form of enemy offensive.

"That’s fine. As long as she’s okay to stay here, I don’t mind leaving her in the hangar," she stood as she spoke, brushing her hair back over her shoulder. Once they had docked fully, she again ran her hand along the striped metal exterior of the armor, as if promising she would be back soon.
"Unfortunately, I didn’t quite understand how Axl managed to guide me through the rift, so I don’t know how to open it myself… But yes, it definitely can be done. Anyway, I’m ready whenever you are. Lead on."
