Hey so I wanna talk a bit more about my GoFundMe and also try my best to verify what the money's being used for

$825 was the move in fee ( $275 per adult, there's three of us )

$3150 for the first month of rent

$3150 for Augusts rent

Just shy of $800 for the uhual ( we luckily ended up getting a free upgrade which was really cool! I also got insurance bc it's a long trip and it's my first time driving a truck this big 😬 I've driven smaller uhauls but this is a 26' )

This alone surpasses what's the GoFundMe goal is already, but we personally had saved and worked really hard to try to make this possible. Rent is... *High,* for sure, but with a family this big we needed at least 4 rooms to meet foster standards ( due to their age and agabs they are not allowed to share a room ). I've been working on doordash, Uber, etc to try to make it. As of right now we're less than a fifth to our goal and we're moving tomorrow morning.

Please help if you can. Share if you can't.

Hi, my name is Cedric. Myself and my spouse, don, are both 25 years old- we're from Missouri, and we're both Trans. in 2021, we were called at three in the morning- asking if Don could take in his two half siblings. Knowing we were the last option between them and fostercare, we agreed. it's been a very difficult journey raising two teenagers ( now 15 and 17 ) at our age with the kind of finances that come from being in your early twenties and queer in the south, and we're trying to flee further north both to escape prosecution in our home state and due to the egregious stalking and harassment from Dons biological family. They've shown up at our doorstep on multiple occasions and at one point even ended up having a conflict with one of the kids while they were walking home from a friends house ( across the street ), leaving one of them so paranoid they wanted to stand on the balcony with a knife. Our lease is coming to a close, and we haven't been able to save enough money to move out of state as we planned- we have jobs, boxes, a uhual, everything we need to get going in a new place… but we are running short on expenses related to moving in such as the deposit and food/gas/lodging to get out of the state, and most recently we had a car repair bill totaling to about 1.5k 🙃. Any help at all is huge to us

update: we were able to get approved for a place, and should be able to move there on a VERY tight budget! however our rent for august is $3,100, and we're only arriving at the new place on 7/13 which means there's a high chance that even though we're starting work immediately we won't get paid enough in time to pay augusts rent. I can't thank the current donators enough for their support, this has definitely helped us reach a point where we're able to do it and removed a lot of the immediate stress- that being said we could still use help and any shares/donations are super appreciated :,)) this is NOT an invitation for 'financial advisors' or 'sugar moms' btw i will beat you away with a stick

this is project 2025, trump's plan for what he'll do if elected. whatever you think is in there, it's worse. watch a breakdown of the highlights here. this man wants to unravel the fabric of our democracy for good - this all aside from his vitriolic hatred of poc, his determination to start ww3, and the fact that he can't string a sentence together without telling outrageous and easily verifiable lies. his administration will start their crusade to exterminate trans people on day one, and they won't stop there.

do not talk to me about how joe biden is old, as if that could ever matter to me more than my life or the lives of my friends and family. my little sister is 14, she's trans, and i don't know what to tell her when we talk about politics, because one of these people wants her dead and the other one is old and some of you are still acting like those problems are equals.

i can't fucking stand this. i'm not hearing it this time, we are not repeating 2016. refusing to vote is not an act of protest, it is an act of complacency, and our most vulnerable will suffer for your negligence. vote like your life depends on it, because for some of us, it really fucking does.
