protectivexmother:
“I hardly think it’s the worst thing that could happen Ginny.” When had her daughter gone back to that little girl that would whine for days end every time she was sick? Perhaps she hadn’t really lost that part of herself. “I thought so, you always enjoyed soup I hope.” She chuckled and shook her head slowly, kissing her forehead lightly.
Molly thought for a moment, going through the memories of the brothers she had lost, everything about them had been wonderful and she missed them more then anything. “They tried to prank me all the time, mostly when me and your father fell in love… they where protective like our mother so the three of them plotted all the time” She smiled sadly and shook her head. “Look after your brothers my love, one day it’s too late.”
With a small shrug, the girl acknowledged her mother’s words, but not necessarily agreed with them. Being sick always felt like the worst thing that could happen, when it happened to you. “Soup’s great, I think. I can’t taste all that much...”
Ginny felt the air of sadness her question had brought on, but she nodded as her mother talked. “I can see that, Fred and George bug Michael to death.” Ginny bit her lip and let the spoon she was about to put to her mouth go back into the bowl, her expression setting in resolution. “I’ll protect the whole useless lot, mum.”
