Eruption

The clock struck noon; the sun reached it’s apex above the city of Kasamino. Midday heat rolled over the city, intense and bright; baking the buildings and bleaching the streets. Those below continued on their way, unaware of the disaster that was to befall them; unknowing of the magic that swirled about the peak of the nearby mountain.

Rock and soil shifted under the overwhelming force of the magic; the peak of the mountain finally caving into a crater under the pressure, throwing the material into the centre of the magical energy where it would burn and melt into magma instantaneously.

This final catalyst brought the magic to coalesce into a dark form, dwarfing the mountain in size and floating slightly above it. Eyes of burning magma looked on from the twisted, obsidian visage of the Witch; a face that looked only vaguely humanoid, burnt and locked into a horrific, everlasting grimace.

The translucent body of the creature took a shape similar to that of a large feline, formed of volcanic glass and baring cracks and fissures that dripped magma. It also bore four human arms, though, bursting from it’s back to hold what appeared to be a massive dish of stone, lava bubbling from the opening at the top.

Smoke and ash rose from the Witch, billowing into the sky and turning the sun as black as the night; a sign, a beacon to the Magical Girls of the world.

Tonight, and the day after, are the days of Karymshina, and any whom challenge her will know the fires of Hell.

Magical Singularities... it didn’t take an advanced mage to know one, feel one, recognize one when it announces itself with the subtlety of an atom bomb. Kyo’d heard the date mentioned before.           Never bothered with it. But the amount of energy given off only several miles away sparks a curiosity and itch for challenge that the brawler can’t ignore. Feet land on the scorched, popping earth, nonplussed by the deadly heat in the area - accustomed to it, from years of conditioning. Wolfishly the grin spreads across their lips, curling upwards to reveal sharp canines, eager. “Never thought I’d see the day...” a chuckle, dripping in overt self-assurance.

Left hand comes to cover the right, pressing against the knuckles with several syncopated pops,          and moments later, the redhead’s within a yard of the Witch. “Let’s see what yer made outta, huh?” Adrenaline pumped, loud and clear, at the base of their neck, unbearable heat a mere summer breeze.                                      Διος Τυκος            The Axe of Zeus. Pure lightning force, followed by the Thunder of a gladiator’s fist - a deathly strike, certainly, to any beast of lesser mettle than the mage themself.

Emerl nodded as they were flung over the shoulder of the mage, not even bothering to correct Kyo on the name.

At this point, Kyo's whole 'flying' technique isn't really a big deal and the mage went about it as unceremoniously as humanly possible. They jumped, were in the clouds for a little bit, and the next moment they were landing with their new metallic friend right outside of their front door.

Setting the bot down and not really paying much mind to whether or not its able to keep its own balance, Kyo opens their front door and walks into the house - naturally assuming that Emerl will follow.

She raised her hand, then, a jet of super-hot flame bursting from her palm and crashing into the rock above Kyo— easily melting it down into nothing but quickly created magma.

"Have fun."

Sighing as if this had happened thousands of times before, Kyo pushed themself away from the wall and, crossing their arms, squinted at the demon in front of them. "Was that really necessary? Now the whole damn mountainsides gonna be smooth."

A certain small, black-haired demon floated down towards Kyo, her golden wings spread out widely behind her. "Entertain me."

Kyo was revisiting a certain mountaintop they had fallen from a month or so back; hands wedged into the stone crevice, they roll their eyes and give an irritated sigh at the demon.

"Fuck off, if ya cain' tell I'm a lil busy at the moment."

Kyo just so happens to be around when they hear Mizuki coughing. And, frankly, they were only concerned because Mizuki hardly ever coughs or get sick, considering she's a demigoddess and all that. Peeking out of their room, they look at their sister...

"Uh...you a'right there, sis?"

sorry i havent been here much school's been kicking my ass, along with some personal stuff as a result my muse has been...absent, at best ive only been really feeling haruki and playing skyrim as her so like i aint been doin much if y'all need me my personal is inverses or you can drop an ask for my skype otherwise i wont be here much, if at all
