1. reading and my book collection

I never received a professional diagnosis, thought I'm currently in therapy and I've been asked several times whether I would be ok with taking meds (I'm still thinking about it).
The synthoms and feelings I expirience are associated with depression, and I reached a level where it was mandatory for me to seek for professional help.
I also practice self harm (I'm working on that too) and I don't have a good relationship with my body and food.

Hi!! I just run into your blog and I totally relate to your posts. I've been seeing a therapist for like 4 years, but lately my anxiety is getting worst. Yesterday, my psychiatrist gave me a prescription for anxiolytics, but I'm worried I may develop an addiction. Any thoughts on that?
Hi! I hope that you can have a laugh with my depressed posts. 😉
First of all remember that what I can give you is just an opinion based on personal expirience since I’m not a professional figure.
I think that if your doctor believes that you may find benefits from anxiolytics, espexially since you’ve been in therapy for a long time, they should know what they're saying.
Also, anxiolytics should go along with therapy and not replacing it, so remember to keep up with it.
Finally medications in general works differentely with everyone so you and your psychiatrist should keep in touch and see how do they affect you and how you feel about it.
You shouldn't fear taking medications alongside therapy, if you follow your doctor istructions and remember to talk with them freely about what you feel (in order to adjust type / dosage / intake).
