a short film that Fern's VA was in, it premiered at NYC's Dances With Films in 2022. I'd asked Noufer years ago if it'd ever be available online and I got uncertainty back, so I'm glad to see it's finally been released w/o password gating. Enjoy :)

Could you draw F&C spirit Fern hugging/comforting AT grass boy Fern? I get such a strong feeling of security and acceptance between the characters in your art, and I really wanna see an older Fern be that for their younger selves...
Could I possibly request a bunch of various aged FinnFern cuddles? I absolutely adore the way you draw characters doing physical affection, especially anything soft and cuddly! They just look so cozy in each other, it's very nice :3
It's alright if you don't end up doing this request! I also just want to let you know you have single-handedly made me a grass demon apologist, and simultaneously ruined every other fic on AO3 cause your characterisations and writing quality is by far the absolute best I've come across.
Keep Yourself (redux) made me genuinely sit with my own sense of self for a good few days, because your writing has the exact same existential vibes as the original show, and genuinely made me look at myself as a person and reconsider some things in my life (/positive!) and I'm really thankful for that!

It's always flustering to read that KY au's ruined the tag for people or that it's the best in the tag/best they've read etc. I'm genuinely appreciative, the compliment's just a little too big for me to process & it's happened a couple times this month so I'm basically blue screening rn. I blame my aphasia for half of it but also just, idk, I never expected so many people to like the stream of consciousness novel I wrote on my phone in a month lol. I've fixed some of it, but still. It's nice to hear that you got something out of it, I wrote the series when I wasn't in the best headspace and desperately needed a distraction, so I'm grateful that it can function as a little bit of escapism for someone else, too.
And hey, since your ao3 comment mentioned you read KYR after a binge of the show w/ no mention of the comics I thought "maybe I should include the comic page that spawned all this somewhere" so thank you for that nudge. I've spoilered it under the paragraph that references it in ch3, it'd be a shame if someone read KY without knowing about *Time Echo Fern :)

I know that fucker!" when our grasswad popped up lmao

I'm not too sure, there was Ray but he removed all of his AT stuff and went on a long hiatus. If anyone knows others who have a demon-centric Fern/Fen feel free to drop a line.
My grass demon appreciation isn't very widely shared w/ the rest of the fandom soz. (It was/is Fern with the exception of the last bit of Come Along With Me after its exorcised or w/e so I don't really get why tbh. Fern's only >1/3rd Finn and that bit of him didn't exactly have autonomy. Who knows.)
I haven't seen anyone else bring up Fennel being included with the rest of Fionna's love interests in the opening, did you notice? Or am I reading too much into it?

Crawling out of hell to share my shower thoughts. In an AU where the Mushroom War never happens and Marceline grows up as a half-demon in a mostly human world, and Bonnie is born human, do you think that Bonnie is still the candy Elemental?
yeah, the elements have been shown to be integral to a world's primordial formation, their powers just lessen with each generation. Patience's whole deal sort of proves that even a totally "human" PB would still retain that karmic entropy/purpose in the fabric of the universe since souls are recycled. So even FW!Elementals are still technically elementals, how that translates is left up to us, rly, like maybe Gary's good at baking because there's a buried talent/understanding of the material in his coding. The bomb isn't really part of the picture except in their "re/de-evolution" -- the elementals are only stronger in Ooo because of mutation (and maybe Coconteppi's influence, that body seeping into the surroundings or something might amplify their magic idk.)
