Koito and Tsukishima make me a bit insane.

If you placed the men of the 7th division on a spectrum of how blind they are to how Tsurumi manipulates and uses them, they would be on the opposite ends. The differing levels of (relative) agency granted by the knowledge, their age difference and experience create a power dynamic which Koito is also blind to.

But as the story progresses and things unravel, that dynamic gets turned on its head.

Despite being completely in the know, Tsukishima has been rendered so vulnerable there's no abuse he isn't willing to tolerate. While Koito has been groomed and kept totally ignorant, he hasn't been similarly broken, which allows him to make a break for it.

It's just so fascinating to me what their arcs reveal about the effects of trauma and abuse, and how ignorance can be bliss while being smart and aware doesn't necessarily protect you.
