He certainly doesn’t expect the charming, freckled budtender with a wicked smile, who takes one look at the tall, silver fox accountant with the serious face and zero filter, and decides he’s going to be the one to loosen him up.

Excerpt: The smoke rolled hot into his mouth, then deeper, filling his lungs in a sudden rush. For one crystalline second the effect was instantaneous as a light, buoyant lift rose through his skull like warm helium, while a heavy, velvet warmth began to sink into his limbs, pooling in the tight muscles of his shoulders and lower back.
It started small as a hot tickle at the back of his throat, but exploded outward with shocking violence. Castiel dropped the joint onto the table, one large hand flying to his chest as his body convulsed. Harsh, hacking coughs tore through him, each one deeper and more desperate than the last. His eyes watered, his broad frame hunched forward, shoulders shaking as he fought for air that only seemed to trigger another round of raw spasms. For several terrifying seconds he was convinced he was suffocating, that this was how his careful, orderly life would end, choking on contraband in his own living room because his doctor had called him tense.
“Damn you, Garth,” he rasped between coughs. The words scraped out like gravel. “And damn that smug, freckled-” Another violent hack cut him off. He pictured Dean’s easy grin, those green eyes sparkling with amusement, and cursed the man silently for peddling this particular form of torture to unsuspecting fools who only ever sought to relax.
