Now the older copper was rather used to human folk holding his gaze, but as he looked around he quickly realized he was the only one who wasn’t human, and a lot of folks were giving him strange looks. It made him feel like a bug under a microscope, where the hell was he that people didn’t know a dragonborn when they saw one? Metallics especially hardly ever got dirty looks-
“Real as the sun’s warmth an’ the rain’s chill, stranger... Though I must say, people ‘round here actin’ like I grew a second head.” Normally his tail was out behind him, but now he had it curled up against his back, even moving to tuck it into the back of his coat before anyone got grabby. “Mind tellin’ me where the stars I am? Ain’t never felt eyes on me like this before, makin’ me mighty uneasy...”

Zehk stood by the kid as Sulvric got to work, trying to use his shadow and spread robe to keep the sun off of him. But soon enough, curiosity over what the sheriff was doing drew him in to watch the repair job. Quick, but it should hold until they got to town.
He stepped further back as Sully righted the cart, then nodded and bounded to one of the bags of what appeared to be grain. He grabbed one and tried to haul it over his shoulders, but… well, it was too heavy for him to completely lift. And, as he found out, his shoulder was still injured thanks to the outlaw’s claws and him hitting the rocks. The bag was dropped with a staticky squeak as Zehk clutched at his shoulder. Teeth clenched, he fumbled for one of the stones lining his belt. A hiss of the command word in Skritt had the pain starting to fade, and he turned halfway to the dragonborn.
“These’re too heavy for me to lift,” he muttered, ears pulled back. “Sorry.”
Sulvric glanced over his shoulder when he heard the smaller figure struggling, giving a soft foggy sigh to himself as he walked over, “S’alright friend, thanks anyways.” he moved to very gently put a hand on Zehk’s injured shoulder, “I should’a remembered you got tossed, that’s my mistake.” Zehk would feel a soothing numbness bloom and wash away more of the ache, another spell slot getting used up to help him.
“There, that ought’a help a bit too. Go ahead an hop on the cart, keep an eye on the kid for me, if ya would.” With that said, Sulvric started grabbing the bags, picking up nearly all of them with little trouble. As they were placed in the cart, the young half-elf groaned in his sleep, stirring slightly and shielding his face from the sun. Without a second thought, Sulvric removed his hat and placed it over the kid’s face. He truly was kind without any hesitation.

It was only the out-of-place glow that snapped Zehk out of his paralysis. By that point the kid’s wounds were closing, so there was hardly a need for the gemwright to scramble for one of his healing stones. He stepped back as Sully picked the kid up and stood, noting the expression on his face with a twist in his stomach.
In the past, this would be the part where he’s kicked at or shoved out of the way. He had one task and he hadn’t been able to complete it… that sometimes had people coming to the conclusion that the failure was his fault, and the way he tensed when the dragonborn looked at him said volumes. But no such accusation came from the old sheriff, and surprise (and relief) had the Ratfolk quiet for a moment.
“I-I'll… go with you,” he said softly. “…what about his cart? Will someone from town come pick up what’s inside?”
It’d add insult to injury if the kid came back out here only to find everything had been stolen.
Sulvric looked over the cart for a moment before getting an idea. Setting the kid down, he went to examine the damage on the wheels, muttering to himself some more before reaching into the satchel on his belt. Though the bag looked like it could hardly hold more than a few books, he started pulling out various tools and haphazardly fixing the wheel up as fast as he could.
“Good ‘nough, I hope.” he said before moving to turn the cart over and setting the kid inside. “Could ya grab the stuff that fell out, stranger? I gotta hook up Bigs here.” he pointed to the few bags that were still strewn about on the sand, though they looked a bit heavy...

One enthusiastic step, then one giant leap for this kind of a man excited to enter the town that claimed to be buzzing and welcoming to all kinds of people organic:
Initernes ~ ~ ✧
His first visit to such an organic territory! Many to see, many to learn from to know how to act one as a squishy being in hopes to strength a bond between mech and organic.
And what better way to start making friendships than stopping by the local tavern. The determination puffed up from within his holoform chest and with arms spread as a sign of welcome, he made his loud presence known.
“GREETINGS, FELLOW LOCALS. I WOULD LIKE TAKE PART OF ONE OF YOUR BEVERAGES ~!”
The low murmur in the tavern halted into an awkward silence as the patrons all turned to look at whoever had so loudly entered the establishment. Some of the more serpentine locals even rattled their tails in irritation, flicking their tongues at the stranger. The copper glanced over his shoulder to get a look at him as well, giving a foggy sigh at the sight of how many dirty looks he was getting already. Despite seeing so many newcomers, the locals of Initernes weren’t always the most welcoming.
“Now now folks,” he said as he got to his feet, “Ain’t no reason to give someone so jovial the cold shoulder like that. If anythin’ this dusty ol’ town could use some good spirits.” He pulled out a bar stool and motioned to it, “I’ll get you that drink, stranger. Pick yer poison.” His phrasing earned a few more rattles from the group of Yuan-Tii sitting nearby, but he only shot them a look to quiet them down.

Wagyl Border Cities
Northern territory of Quamados City: A wealthy and bustling coastal town, and the biggest of the border cities with the highest population. All walks of life can be found there, as well as many tropical folks arriving by sea from an island not too far off the coast. A lot of rare items come from this city.
Eastern territory of Pasuri City: The smaller of the border cities, located at the edge of the desert between sand and jagged canyon. A classic mining town on the verse of going under before the steam train was built there to connect the cities. This is where the other cities get their metal.
Southern territory of Initernes City: The smallest of the border cities, and the oldest with some buildings still being made of sandstone. Being the closest city to the skeletal market, this town has the most rampant crime. It is also a port town, and most fishing is done here and traded with other cities.
Western territory of Ixen City: The only border city to technically not be in the desert since it was built at the foot of a mountain range that spans the west desert. It is the only city to have a forest nearby, and is known as the liveliest of the cities with it’s seasonal festivals and rich agriculture. It supplies the other cities with fresh fruit and vegetables thanks to the train system.

“Happened quickly” was an understatement. Zehk had half a mind to hang on and cause the outlaw some trouble but strength had never been his strong suit. One second he was biting, the next he was hauled up and thrown through the air like he was nothing but a toy. In another scenario he’d already have his featherfall spell ready to cushion the blow; panic and so little reaction time left him able to do nothing but brace for the impact. There was a burst of pain in his already injured shoulder and he slid to the ground at the base of the rocks, gritting his teeth and clutching at the injury.
A roar from Sulvric drew his attention back to the fight, just as the outlaw viciously sank his teeth into the half elf’s shoulder. And it wasn’t just teeth– Zehk could smell the acid that was eating into the wound as well. Even if the gemwright had had some spell to attack or stall him with, the Bull was gone with a laugh and a swirl of green smoke. Besides, there were more important matters at hand.
Favoring one arm, the ratfolk scampered to where the screaming driver lay and froze, ears and whiskers slicking back as his blood went cold. That was… a horrible injury. A bite alone wouldn’t be so bad but the acid burns made it so much worse, and Zehk could feel his fur fluffing up as blood soaked into the sand. He was used to hunting, drawing blood for the sake of survival.
This was nothing but heartless cruelty.
Sulvric was far too focused on trying to tear away the poor kids tunic before the acid could melt it to the burned flesh. By then he’d stopped screaming, having passed out from the pain. The bounty hunter was muttering anxiously to himself under his breath, both in common and draconic.
“Don’t you die on me kid... C’mon..” he tried to relax, placing his hands over the wound before a very faint glow came from his palms. It wasn’t much, and he couldn’t do it often, but a simple Cure Wounds would save this kids life right now. The half elf gave a half conscious groan, but stayed passed out for the time. Sulvric removed his bindings and lifted him up before looking down at Zehk, his expression one of frustration at the loss of the outlaw and there was also a deep sadness there too...
“S’alright stranger, we tried our best... The kid’ll live too, long as I get him back ta town and get him proper care. Yer welcome ta tag along too, you’ll fit right in with Pasuri folk. Plus, I at least owe ya a meal fer the trouble.”
