How to feel like a queen:

👑 Use daily affirmations which reinforce your awareness of being a queen: I always deserve the best. The universe loves making me happy and fulfilling my wishes. My goals are accomplished effortlessly. Everything always works out for me. I emanate grace and power.

👑 Wear your best jewelry, perfume and clothing daily. Every day is a worthy occasion to let your inner lioness and queen shine, you don’t need to wait for 'that special occasion' that is always some other day in the future and never right now.

👑 Queen energy aesthetics include: golden accents, high embellishments, opulent scents and heavy florals, materials like velvet and intricate lace, jewel tones like ruby, sapphire or amethyst in combination with gold.

👑 Carry yourself with the pride, grace and poise of a woman who knows she has regal blood running through her veins, who can conquer anything and everything she desires!

👑 Whenever you feel your confidence wavering, pull back your shoulders, straighten your spine, lift your chin. Don't let the burdens of the world twist the proud line of your spine. Remember who you are. You're a queen, babe!

World Cancer Day 2021

Losing my beloved Sister, Dad & two amazing Uncles & an Aunt (not including friends), I have faced the big ‘C’ - cancer by supporting them by holding their hands & being there for them throughout their treatments & also providing them with emotional support. But being there with survivors, I see that cancer will always be a part of there lives as well as as well as mine as many of people.

So I have decided to recognise the journey of hundreds of millions of the survivors & participate in World Cancer Day (WCD) 2021 which happens on the 4th February every year, to help spread awareness and also inspired action to ensure there is knowledge of life-saving cancer treatments available for anyone who needs it.

WCD is a reminder that many have fought their battle with cancer, as well as celebrating with those who have been lucky enough to be survivors all around the world.

So WCD is a wonderful way for us to check in on friends and ourselves to take the necessary actions to acknowledge this day by incorporating self-care tips.

My amazing friend Nicola has survived breast cancer after finding a lump in her breast, and will be in remission for five years on 26th Feb and still going strong! Nicola has incorporated self-care & wellness ensuring that she eats nutritious meals, at dinner time, drinks healthy smoothies & has a breakfast daily. She also goes for long walks daily aiming to achieve 10K steps although she regularly exceeds this amount. And when she wants to really treat herself at home she has fantastic luxury bubble baths & practices meditation.

First and foremost encouraging self-care is fundamental and is a way for cancer survivors as well as friends & family of these people to encourage recognition. Doing activities such as disconnecting & spending less time on social media, doing meditation & visualisation, practising being mindful, doing yoga, catching up with a friend/family member, having a coffee/herbal tea, going for a nice long walk, dancing to some uplifting music; all these useful tips that can be done in recognition of this day for survivors family & friends who have been overwhelmed with this disease.

Today is Martin Luther King Jnr Day!

Referred to as MLK Day is a federal holiday in the U.S.A but that doesn’t stop as for recognising the birthday of such an iconic & remembered person.

MLK Day is a day about honouring the impact & the courage to stand up for what is right, being aware of how dangerous it was for him to say what he did.

We need to respect each other and care for one another.

And it’s a chance for us to unite in the belief that we are all equals. Because we are more than race, political affiliations, economic situations or religious beliefs.

We are the children of this planet & we can coexist.

So MLK Day reminds us that it is our responsibility to constantly re-evaluate our society & stand up for what is right.

On one hand, it’s incredible that something so obvious was actually the subject of public debate within my parents lifetime.

On the other hand, some people clearly never actually moved forward from that issue at all.

The work is far from over, but The Dream to UNITE is a powerful vision of the world that I want to leave my children, and my children and children.

So here’s to living freely, embracing diversity I’m looking at a person’s character.

UNITY...Something that is lacking right now.

As we celebrate Christmas/festive season with family, loved ones and friends, I hope that you have had the opportunity to think about and take in all the great things that have come out of 2020 and not just the not-so-good things.

We’ve all definitely had to face uncertain challenges bestowed upon us, but we have seen that with each challenges we have had,

we’ve also been faced with possibility. So let’s all look towards gratitude and all that we’ve been most grateful for and the light eshone from behind the dark clouds...this rare once in a lifetime experience that this pandemic made us go through.

So I’m grateful to have had the pleasure to meet and work with some amazing people through 2020:
