She’s got some eyebrows to raise at the man, considering how she doesn’t see any other women out on the docks besides for her. She’s sure it’s because it’s likely that they’re out being caretakers or wives or students or…praying or something; but still, it’s enough for her to clear her throat at how extra he’s being already. 「 You’re drowning in the charm already, 」she clarifies, in case he wasn’t sure of what a great impression he was providing.
She notes the nets draped along the shoreline, both freeform ones and those attached to rods– but Yuffie loves the satisfaction of something flying from her hands and returning with satisfactory results. So regardless of permission, she reaches towards a short spear, leans it across her shoulder while hooking a small net to her shorts, securing it into a makeshift pouch to hold her earned efforts.
「 Don’t underestimate me. I know how to get my own dinner. I just need you to tell me if there’s a certain kind to avoid, is all. 」A long look across her shoulder is enough, she thinks, is enough to show her intent– that, and how she removes her socks and boots, leaves them a suitable distance away from the pier before she considers jumping. He ought to speak fast: time is slipping, isn’t it?
Wakka was a bad joker. He had a very terrible sense of humor - one he’d only get out of himself. It was clear that Yuffie wasn’t seeing the funny side to it. Of course, she had to bite back with something of her own sort of cruel joke, soon ceasing Wakka’s laugh with a nervous stutter. Well, she sure showed him...
He went to bite back, flailing his hands a bit in defense, until they were just carelessly thrown, moving on from the cruelty of the Wutai female.
Before he could even make a start on how to even fix a net properly or even where to go, she was already fixing herself up and ready, cuing more stuttering from the other. How in the world was she doing all this stuff already!? He started to make a run for it, running in front of her quickly as he saw those boots slipping off.
“Woah woah woah now, hold your Shoopuf there, you little tyke! You can’t just go jumpin’ in with no guidance! You are crazy! I can’t just tell ya, what happens if you get stuck or something?! At least let me come along with you, jeez...”, he said, shaking his head.
See, he did care, but in his own silly kind of way.
“I mean if you’re askin’, if it looks like it can kill you, then it probably will.”
