"Learning To See is an ongoing series of works that use state-of-the-art Machine Learning algorithms as a means of reflecting on ourselves and how we make sense of the world. The picture we see in our conscious minds is not a direct representation of the outside world, or of what our senses deliver, but is of a simulated world, reconstructed based on our expectations and prior beliefs. Artificial neural networks loosely inspired by our own visual cortex look through surveillance cameras and try to make sense of what they are seeing. Of course they can see only what they already know. Just like us." Learning to See by Memo Atken Open Frameworks page
galaxy got inspired by this perfect pico 8 galaxy and decided to try out something similar. could use some work, but space stuff is fun!
One project I’ve been working on for a couple months now is a PICO-8 version of Advance Wars. It’s one of my favorite games and I’ve put a lot of love into this one so far, redrawing the tileset a few times over now, and getting that god damn movement radius working has been a pain. There’s still a lot to go but so far things are looking great. I’ve got a lot of people waiting for me to finish this one, and I intend to, but development is slow due to the complexity and limitations of PICO-8. Despite that I’m pushing on!
