After weeks of development, MonoCtrl is finally out! It’s a control interface for the Korg Monologue synthesiser that runs in REAPER 5. Nothing more, nothing less.

After weeks of coding and reverse-engineering SysEx data, I am happy to announce that my next project, monoctrl, is almost done.

Hey!!
I made a song for a little charity album the /r/gamemaker community has been working on for the last month or two. It’s called Snowstorm and you can get it for $1 (or more) on Bandcamp! All proceeds go to the Child’s Play organization.

Here's my latest experiment - generating a normal map (bump/spec) of a Mandelbrot set in real time. My solution uses a simple gradient of a texture, so it's not exactly complex (an analytic solution would produce better result, not sure how fast it would be, though), but it gets the job done. I also throw a bit of median filtering into the mix for good measure. No proper anti-aliasing at the moment (apart from texture filtering, if that counts), so I'm not quite there yet when it comes to smoothing.
The latest Tweets from Jan Vorisek (@blokatt). Gamedev/computer graphics guy. Sometimes producing sounds that resemble music of some form. Haven't really got a clue what I'm doing. Student. DMs open. Rakovník, Česká republika
Obligatory reminder that I post mainly on Twitter!
