NO ONE SHIPS BENRY MORE THAN BENRY
Patterns based on sewing machines. Cindustriella is my reluctant name for them, but I’m open to suggestions if you can think of something better.

Watercolor lightning bolts inspired by David Bowie/Aladdin Sane
The idea for this pattern popped into my head a few days ago and I finally had some time to build it in real life!
Now I really (really) want to make myself a starry moth dress…just need to find a place in Canada that prints fabric, because the US/CAD exchange rate is ridiculous these days. Does anyone know of such a place?
Edward J. Woolsey - Specimens of Fancy Turning (Executed on the Hand or Foot Lathe with Geometric, Oval, and Eccentric Chucks, and Elliptical Cutting Frame), 1869.
After finishing up the starry moth pattern, I felt like I was on a roll and thought that it might be fun to keep up the patternmaking party.
Almost six hours later (which was, er, longer than I was expecting to spend on this, but that’s OK), BAM! DANA SCULLY PATTERN (I’ve been watching the original run of the X-Files for the past couple weeks while working and my head’s all full of the show/Gillian Anderson’s unfathomable awesomeness as Scully).
If you’d like to use these for your own desktop background (please don’t print/sell/etc. them, many thanks in advance!), you can find the seamlessly repeating tiles at the following links (they’re set at 600px square):
