yeah, my mum told me how to use them properly but i get overly anxious with that kind of thing so... 7 years later and i still feel like i'd be the one case that just gets it regardless

I feel you, you can never be too careful, there’s no shame in being cautious! But for real if you ever decide to, tampons make it so much easier to carry on with daily life when you’re on your period. I have 3 older sisters though so I guess I got over the scary part pretty early, I figured if they were fine I’d be fine too!

i can answer your question abut girls who don't use tampons from personal experience: i hate hate hate the idea of anything being inserted up there. it makes me feel physically sick. and when i tried it i started panicking that if i didn't pull it out right that second i'd get TSS and die. so i guess apprehension and general aversion can be a reason.

Hmmm yeah I could understand that, good point. TSS really only happens in extreme cases if you leave a tampon in for over 24 hours or if you forget you have one in for a long time. People freak out over it but it’s not something to be afraid of if you just take care of yourself and remember when you put tampons in. They put the warning on the boxes just so they don’t get sued if some freak accident happens
