Lord Adryael of House Vyleyth
~House of the Wolf~
Having been thrown to the wolves when he was just a youngling, Adryael returned to his home years later leading the pack. With a brusque attitude, and rather imposing demeanor, he isn’t an easy man to get close to; unless you happen to be one of his wolves. Will you be able to get closer to him? To showcase that not every human that is supposed to care about him means him harm?
Lord Orion of House Hyrael
~House of the Phoenix~
With a generous heart, and compassionate attitude to everyone he comes across, Orion is one of the few Founders that you’ve actually seen before. While the rest usually keep within their own domains, Orion usually tries to keep tabs on his neighboring dominions. Even if his temper does get him in trouble more often than not, you can’t help but feel like you get lost within the shimmering gold of his eyes.
Lord Talyn of House Gryeia
~House of the Griffin~
Lord Talyn is rarely ever seen outside of his home within the Breor Mountains. Renowned for being one of the best archers within all of Tyreia, Talyn is known to shoot first and ask questions later. He doesn’t like people intruding on his solitude, but his soft spoken demeanor usually belies the power he’s able to wield. Will you be able to get through to the reclusive lord?
Lady Esmeralda of House Oisea
~House of the Basilisk~
It is said that if you get close enough to Lady Esmeralda to see the shimmering emerald of her gaze then it’s already too late. Known commonly as the Emerald Demon, Esmeralda is known to show no mercy to her enemies and leaves fields bathed in blood. With an aloof demeanor, Esmeralda is a hard woman to read. Will you ever be able to be part of the few that can?
Lady Vylara of House Vihurel
~House of the Dragon~
Hailed as the Greatest Warrior within all of Tyreia, Lady Vylara is rarely ever seen outside of her dominion to the east. Though rumors say she hasn’t picked up a blade, or any other weapon, since the Great War. Will you get the gentle hearted woman to stop seeing herself as a monster? Or will she forever hide herself within the shadows she has cast over herself?
Lady Leona of House Lancaster
~House of the Lion~
An ambitious woman, Leona isn’t one to allow anyone to get in her way. What she wants, she will get. She isn’t afraid to tell you what she thinks, even if it hurts, and she’s never been one to pull punches. Will you be able to show her that her plans aren’t the only things worth living for? Or will she forever be blinded by what her future could be?
Hello! Will you add moments with the family and mc? Because I already love them to bits! Mc will be so sad to have to be away from them, writes to them daily and sneaks little gifts but takes their duty with all the responsability.
Yes! There will be moments where the MC can contact their family or House Pegasus will contact the MC.
Wow! Just found your story and I really enjoyed the demo! It was nice to get a sneak peak of all the ROs. I'm already itching for more!
I’m so happy to hear that! I can’t wait for you all to interact with them more too! Hopefully, I’ll have the completed first chapter done within the month (as I have many ideas for it to not write them down).
I’m actually curious about something though. Which RO would all like me to do first when it comes to their route? As I’ll be doing them all one-by-one once the MC makes their choice. Is there anyone you all would like to see first?
The demo's looking great! Already looking forward for the rest of chapter one(no pressure tho take you time). Though it doesn't work on mobile, I had to extract it to joiplay.
I’m glad you like it! It’s not supposed to work on mobile yet as there isn’t a mobile friendly version out right now. I’ll hopefully have that done by the time the first chapter is completed.
This will just show you a brief part of what the entirety of Chapter One will entail. I just wanted you all to get a feel for Blood and Ash as I'm working on it... I hope that's okay. It's around 8,000+ words, but I know the actual chapter will be much longer.
Ignore the typos and whatever else as I'll fix them before the full release.
Does MCs House or MC themselves have any particular reputation, that maybe colors what the ROs would expect before meeting them?
House Pegasus are commonly seen as being the upholders of the old ways. They've always been more of the peacekeepers when in regards to the others.
Vylara sees House Pegasus as being one of honor and integrity. It's part of the reason why she's willing to leave her home and travel so far. Even if her family had been murdered within the borders of your land.
Esmeralda, on the other hand, views House Pegasus as being one that needs to accept that the old ways are long gone and only the strong can survive. That Tyreia will never be as it once was.
The other ROs have opinions too, but you'll have to wait and see what those are (while also waiting to see a more in-depth look at the ones I did share).
Do the ros and mc have any features that are special to their respective houses?
Orion has gold eyes and Vylara has violet (purple) eyes that only the members of their respective houses can have.
The other families don't really have anything big like that-- at least that I can think of off the top of my head-- but as I delve deeper into the world I'll update this post accordingly.
Could you tell us more about the lands ruled by each house?
House Wolf land is commonly referred to as Asnen; or simply The North. It is mainly comprised of icy fields, snow-capped mountains, and frozen lakes-- the most notable being near the Hold of House Wolf. The weather causes the people to be hardy, and the warriors to be even hardier, as there's no telling if you'll see the next day. Packs of wolves are commonplace amid Asnen. One must be wary to not go off alone.
House Phoenix land is commonly referred to as Ignisyra. It's near the molten plains of Mount Ethos. Rivers of fire and lava are more common than water, but where Ignisyra meets with the rest of Tyreia is truly a sight to behold. The Hold of House Phoenix is along such a border, but you'll commonly see members of House Hyrael look longingly towards the far-off image of Mount Ethos.
House Griffin land is commonly referred to as Zestrar; or it's simply referred to as Breor, after the large mountain range that resides within it. Large cliffs, foliage-filled ravines, and staggering heights are something one must grow accustomed to when traversing through Zestrar. The Hold of House Griffin resides within the tallest mountain within the Breor Range; named Mount Sathein, after the Goddess of the Griffins that resides within the rocky cliffs.
House Basilisk land is commonly referred to as Atrana; or the Emerald Graves. Dense forest makes up a vast majority of the terrain; to the point that some inhabitants reside within the treetops rather than on the ground. The Hold of House Basilisk resides within a large clearing that's intercepted by the great river Stales; a river that makes its way across the whole of Tyreia. Any adventurer must be careful about traversing through the deep caverns that also inhabit Atrana. As you never know if you'll come across the namesake of House Basilisk within them.
House Dragon land is commonly referred to as Veskerus; or Dragonstone, simply after the name of the Hold that House Dragon resides within. It's on the eastern edge of Tyreia; inhabiting a bountiful coastline and just against the borders of Ignisyra. It's a culmination of many provinces within Tyreia as it has various forests, plains, and cliffs for the various draconian inhabitants that live within its borders.
House Lion land is commonly referred to as Albion. It's on the western coast of Tyreia, and it has more wooded areas and plains due to being connected to two other provinces. Though it does have more dry places than Veskerus commonly does, but nowhere near as warm as Ignisyra. Prides of Lions are commonly seen closer to the Hold of House Lion that's situated closer to the center of Albion.
House Pegasus land is commonly referred to as Skaya; it is in the direct center of Tyreia. It is mainly comprised of rolling fields, plains, and speckles of forests. Herds of wild horses are known to roam throughout the province, but the Pegasi are well documented to bond with the ruling family. Skaya is also the meeting spot of the Conclave-- held within The Speire; in the common tongue, it's a word used for where the land and sky meet.
With the Great War whose side were all the houses on and will that have an impact on inter-house relations in the game e.g. if you marry into one house it will decrease your standing with another?
None of the Founding Families were truly on one side over the other… The Great War happened because Commander Vihurel was assassinated during the yearly Conclave between the Seven. Two of the Houses were accused of being behind it, but no one actually knows for certain. Said accusations caused even more accusations and everything escalated from there.
Your standing with the other Houses won’t shift no matter who you marry. That doesn’t mean the Lords and Ladies won’t comment though, because they do have their own opinions but it’s nothing too horrible.
Can you tell us about the MC's family? I'm quite curious about how their relatives are handling the potential civil war and, of course, MC's possible engagement.
The MC has three siblings (a younger brother by two years and younger twin sisters by eight). The younger brother is Caelus and the twins names are Iris and Aria. Caelus takes his duties serious, while the twins are little trouble makers but they absolutely adore their family.
The Commander of House Pegasus (the name of the Active Lord/Lady) is your father who’s name is Aeson. He’s always wanted you to be able to choose who you are to marry— and to an extent you are— but his hand has been forced with how bad things are becoming. If he didn’t think your prospective partner would be good for you he’d never allow you to go though.
Caelus doesn’t like seeing you go— he’s fairly close with you— but he understands that your duty to the nation, and to House Pegasus, meant more than many things. Iris and Aria don’t quite understand the imminent danger of what is happening, but they are smart enough to understand that something is going on.
Your mother is gone— has been since you were sixteen— but you always feel her with you in your heart. You know that she’d never wish for you to marry someone you didn’t love, at least not right off the bat, but she would have supported you in whatever you wished to do.
Hi! Can you please tell if the ROs have children, and if yes then who exactly? ^^"
None of the ROs have children.
The closest thing is that Talyn’s Knight Commander has a son that Talyn is quite fond of. All of the ROs have children within the grounds of their homes (as their staff are more than welcome to bring them).
