Hey. Hey, Asshole. I mean, doc. These meds in the little IV, they got any-- meds that make you feel warm? because I ain't gonna pass out yet, I'm no lightweight, but I do feel warm. And I know it ain't the room temp because I don't even have my gown on, thanks a lot. I should be freezing.

But I-- uh. Feel warm, like that fever heat I was kinda telling you about. Wanna make sure it ain't the drugs, y'know, that they're not messing with your little experiment. Not that I even needed them, I can play nice. You take this damn muzzle off too I swear I'll be the nicest mutt in the pound. All bark, No bite.

And maybe free one of my hands while you're at it, I got an itch to scratch if you know what I mean, preferably without any doctors around. Unless you'd wanna watch? I mean just looking at me's pretty pervy right now, gown down, all sweaty and tied up. Haha. ha

You’re as polite as ever. As far as I’m aware my name has yet to be changed to asshole, mutt. Address me properly next time. Now, what was it you were yelling about? The meds? No, as far as I’ve seen generalized warmth is not a reported side effect. At least you’re not cold then, once your fur comes in you won’t notice the lack of a gown anyway.

I appreciate your concern for the validity of my experiment but this heat, it’s all you. I’ll make a note of the onset of symptoms. Anything else feel different, any other signs of your oncoming change? Oh, and could you rate your arousal on a scale of 1-10? Don’t get shy on me now, wolfy.

I’m not sure you can play nice. Your track record currently is all bark, one bite, at least one bite attempt. I guess my reflexes are just faster than yours. The muzzle stays on but nice try. I’ll stick a straw through the grate to give you a drink of water here in a moment, I’d like to take a look in your eyes and ears as well while I have you muzzled. I don’t have to waste time giving you instructions you won’t follow, I can just turn your head every which way with a firm grip on the muzzle. See? Just like that.

Unfortunately for you letting you, ahm, relieve yourself, would influence the monitoring of your arousal. You don’t want to mess up our data and have to do this all again, do you? But if you’re good there’s a chance I’ll help you out once I’ve gotten all the data I need. However I am not going to unstrap the pent up soon to be werewolf from my table, again: nice try.

Hello Dr. Lark,

I was wondering if you could install a permanent muzzle on my pet (@strwberrishrtcake). Poor thing gets quite mouthy during play time / clicker training no matter how many times I tell them to be quiet and I was wondering if there was any way to install one? ( Maybe a gag would work? )Training for it hasn't worked for this specific issue and he somehow gets the regular muzzles off every time i try to put him on one. I've resorted to having my fingers shoved down the throat - which irritates it someowhat and the pup bites me (playfully of course). Help would be much appreciated !!

Now you have got me thinking, I do love when treating a patient involves some creative problem solving. There are certainly some problems to solve for in this case! Problem number one is nutrition, which has an easy solution. If you want to use the muzzle as permanent I’d suggest inserting a nasogastric feeding tube which would go in through one nostril all the way down into their stomach. You’d be able to deliver all nutrition, hydration, and medication that way. You could still allow him food by mouth as a treat on occasion but I’d advise against taking off the muzzle for meals every day, it defeats the purpose of permanent and I find such lenience leads to misbehavior.

Now onto the issue of the device. A muzzle would certainly be much more comfortable than a gag, after an hour in a gag one’s jaw is sure to ache, I can’t imagine making that permanent. The damage that would do to their teeth! However, a muzzle would prevent the biting but still allow plenty of backtalk. I think I could have found a solution for you: a custom bite block. This would be a large piece of plastic molded exactly to fit your pet’s teeth. A smaller bite block might just slur one’s speech but large enough bite block functions as a gag without nearly as much discomfort and while protecting the teeth. One of the most common complaints I hear (from owners, I am afraid I don’t hear much from the patients wearing bite blocks) is the occasional string of drool, but I’m sure that’s a manageable trade off if it means you get to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Now the next task is figuring out a way to prevent unwarranted removal of the bite block. This might take some trial and error but I have a couple of ideas. Does he wear a collar? Often securing a muzzle/gag to a collar is an easy solution that would translate well to the bite block. This would prevent them from managing to slip the bite block’s strap over their head. For an added layer of security we could put a a classic wire muzzle over the bite block to prevent tampering.

Bring your pet on by and we can make impressions for the bite block as well as take some measurements for the straps, perhaps try on some muzzles and see what works. I’m sure we can find a solution to your little problem.

hiya! im back again💗💗 i looove the matching bracelet you gave my stuffie!!

i’ve been in this hospital room for some time now. the nurses are kind and funny, but they keep saying i have a «big day» coming up tomorrow. they said i wouldn’t be allowed any dinner and nothing to drink either! and that tomorrow morning one of them will give me an enema. and then afterwards i can get ice cream everyday while i recover. so whats all this fuss about and this «big day»?

You’re right about your big day! You’re having your first surgery tomorrow, how exciting! Do you remember how in your daily exams I noted that you have increased muscle tone? That’s just another way of saying your holes are tighter than we’d expect for a girl your age which can cause some issues, especially with the ongoing gynecological treatment you require. So, tomorrow morning you will undergo a surgery to allow us to snip your excess hymen and stretch both holes while you’re asleep and unable to feel the pain or see the blood staining my gloves and get scared.

Unfortunately surgery means no dinner and an enema but I know you can be brave. Wow the nurses must really like you to promise ice cream every day while you recover! You must have been such a good, well behaved patient for them. You will be on bedrest for the first couple days after your surgery so the nurses will help you with all your needs! You’ll have a skinny little tube called a catheter to help you empty your bladder when you wake up since you won’t be allowed to get up to go to the bathroom. This will make it easier for the nice nurses to take care of you and keep you clean while you recover. You’ll probably be a little sore but I’m sure all the ice cream will make up for the pain you’ll be experiencing.

I’m so glad you love your stuffie’s matching hospital bracelet! When you wake up from your surgery maybe your stuffie will be bandaged up to match you too!

it's uh... been a while. since my little "stunt," i think you called it. i guess i can admit when i make a dumb decision like breaking into the dispensary and locking the nurses out (it just means i have to plan better next time)... i think they finally weaned me off the heavy stuff - i dunno how long it's been since i've been lucid. feels like weeks. i dunno.

i know you've got a full house - weird that a place like this is popular, i can't see why anyone would *want* to be here voluntarily. but i mean... you're hot, and your staff isn't too bad either, so maybe that's the draw. hey, as long as you're not doing anything... unethical, right? 😏

but uh... when Nurse Becca came in to give me my meds and take my vitals, she mentioned i had a procedure coming up. please, pleeeease tell me you're not putting me on an ECT schedule - i don't need it, and i've learned my lesson, i promise. or... i really REALLY hope she doesn't mean i'm on the list for sterilization - just because i'm a, what were the words i remember hearing? a "pathetic, mewling slut who can't keep their legs shut"? hmm, maybe it wasn't you that said that, but i'm pretty sure someone did. look, it's not MY fault i go through heats, or that they're worse when i'm left alone through them. my previous owner didn't do their research i guess and dumped me here when they couldn't handle it. i know you know that, it just... sucks. ughh. my mouth is so dry, those stupid sedatives make me all cottony.

Let me hold this straw to your lips for a sip of water, the drugs you’re on can cause dry mouth, but it’s been some time since you’ve been awake enough to take a drink. Don’t worry we’ve been managing your hydration and nutrition while you were in your little forced rest. It was my professional opinion that you needed some time in restful self reflection to consider your actions and how you’d like to behave differently moving forward. The two weeks of medicated sleep seemed adequate.

I’m glad to see you can admit when you’ve made a mistake, we’ve since increased the dispensary’s security. I could thank you for finding the flaws in our security system but I don’t want you thinking another little stunt like that is warranted. Oh and I’m afraid those wrist and ankle cuffs won’t be coming off any time soon. Don’t worry I won’t be sterilizing you. I reserve such extremes as a last resort, you are of far more use to my research intact. I’ve been testing different methods of managing what we call “unmanageable” heat cycles, which is your official diagnosis that landed you here.

However, I cannot let your stunt go unpunished so, you will be undergoing what we call a corrective procedure. ECT is not off the table. If our next treatment does not provide satisfactory results in behavior management ECT might be considered. I don’t want to spoil all the surprises but you’ll be taking a little trip to the OR, and the anesthetist will not be joining us. This treatment will ideally kill two birds with one stone, it should work as correction (something akin to punishment) as well as relieve some of your pent up heat symptoms. You’ll be spending the afternoon with your legs spread high and wide in the stirrups, looking up into the bright scary OR lights. The nice nurses won’t look nearly as friendly with their faces obscured by surgical masks while they assist me in breaking you. I will be working between your legs with my ice cold tools and dilators until I feel you’ve sufficiently learned your lesson, yes this will hurt, no you cannot find a way out of this.

I hope your little stunt was worth it because it will be a very long time before you get that level of freedom again. Was the five minutes of running through the halls worth it? Even though you can’t be trusted to feed yourself at meal time anymore? I meant when I said your wrist cuffs stay on. Soon you’ll be longing for an ounce of the independence you had before.

Now, enough chit-chat. Let’s get you ready for your procedure! Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re awake to feel every second of this.

It will probably take me a while to reply, I want to be able to put as much effort into my response as you put into your ask but I love the commitment to detail you included in your research participant application. The short answer is yes your application to participate in my research has been accepted! You’ll receive further information with study details as well as what you need to do in preparation shortly. This is an ongoing study although it will require a couple select overnight stays but seeing as you already agreed to do anything and everything I deem necessary that shouldn’t be an issue.

In my country they just announced that we are low on blood donors and that more people have to go.

My mom just went today.

I sadly can't do it right now, because I'm traveling with friends.

How about when you get home you and your friends give blood together? You can make a day out of it! Perhaps get a coffee beforehand or lunch afterwards, maybe see a movie. I think giving blood as a group activity, something you do as a way to spend time with friends is the one of the best ways to encourage yourself and others to donate! Tell your friends the news of your country’s need for blood and see how many would be willing to donate with you then plan a date to hit the blood bank!

Using context clues I’d guess it’s you, Anon! How exciting! Doctor is very proud! Make sure you drink plenty of water beforehand, that will make the poke easier. If you want to be the bestest patient and you feel so inclined, I’d love to see any pictures you take of the experience, or perhaps your blood in the blood bag. Bunny’s blood draw video got me thinking even more about blood. Blood donation is one of the sexiest things one can do.

unfortunately i can’t donate due to a condition and some meds im on :( (a severe fear of needles doesn’t help lol) but im glad you’re bringing awareness to this! i hardly see anyone taking about this when even a little bit can save lives!

I’m glad we are bringing awareness too! This wasn’t some grand plan either, last Friday I drove past my blood bank and saw their critically low on blood signs and figured I’d say something since on here since I can’t donate myself and I’ve been beyond pleased with the response I’ve gotten! If my memory serves me I believe 10 of you so far have written to let me know you have or will soon donate! Many were first time donors! We as a little community and you as the individuals who donated are making a real life saving difference. All of us will know someone who will need blood products in their lifetimes, the majority of us will need blood products ourselves at some point. For those who can donate it’s remarkably easy way to help your community. Within an hour you can have played a crucial role in saving someone’s life, how amazing is that?

Also for those who cannot donate the best thing you can do is talk about it! Tell your friends when the next blood drive is, let them know you heard your local blood bank is running low. Ask every couple months if they’ve donated blood recently. Remind those who can donate that they should! It’s so easy to forget you should be donating blood with the hustle and bustle of daily life. Often people just need a reminder or nudge in the right direction.

You guys are the best, thanks for putting up with the recent blood theme and thank you for doing your part to save lives! When I posted the first blood donation post last week I was going to be overjoyed if two people donated but we are up to 10 and counting!
