Behind-the-scenes of TONIGHT’S festive season finale! #BloodandOil [x]
1x10 - Departures (Season Finale)
Christmas is a time for coming together, but for the Lefevers, it’s a time of difficult choices. Billy faces an ultimatum to either save his marriage by leaving Rock Springs forever or to stay in the oil game alone while Cody experiences temptation in the form of another man. With the Black Elks land deal slipping away, Annie and Hap consider doing the unthinkable – joining forces to help secure this once-in-a-lifetime oil acquisition. Fearing the fate of his son, AJ enlists Tip to help bring the child to safety. And finally, another father-and-son relationship is pushed to its limits when Hap and Wick finally lay it all out on the table at the Briggs Christmas Eve gathering, on the season finale of “Blood & Oil,” airing SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
1x09 - The Art Of The Deal
HAP MAKES HIS BIGGEST PLAY YET WHILE BILLY’S ON THE VERGE OF LOSING IT ALL ON ABC’S “BLOOD & OIL” “Art of the Deal” – With Carla behind bars after taking the fall for the stolen report, Hap is more determined than ever to find the mole at Briggs Oil who put her there. But first, Annie pays Carla an unexpected visit to propose a deal that would give both women what they want. Meanwhile, Jules’ brush with death brings both Briggs men rushing to her bedside, providing her with an opportunity to come clean with their secrets. Despite Billy’s profuse apologies, his lies have pushed Cody over the edge, and Billy fears he may never be able to make things right. Later, Hap and Annie face off against each other as they prepare to make their biggest play yet. May the best Briggs win, on “Blood & Oil,” airing SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
1x08 - Rats, bugs and moles
Briggs Oil is celebrating its 30th Anniversary, and the party must go on, even in the wake of the intensified federal investigation into Hap's business dealings. Suspecting there’s an informant in his ranks, Hap clamps down on security and nearly exposes his son, Wick, as the source of the leak. This leads Wick to recruit an unlikely accomplice in his desire to bring down his father. Meanwhile, Annie sets up shop in Rock Springs with her new partner, Billy, who finds himself increasingly preoccupied as his lies begin to catch up to him in the form of Gary Laframboise, who threatens to expose the truth about Billy, on “Blood & Oil,” airing SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Anyone who signs this petition can agree that Blood & Oil is a fantastic show and deserves to be on air! The characters are witty and flawed and realistic. The storyline for this show is just getting started, if given the chance I/We feel like this could be ABC's next big drama. In only five short weeks we've all fallen in love with Blood & Oil and all of the characters on the show and the stories they've told us this far. If given the chance to continue on I feel like this show could gain a lot of followers/viewers. If ABC were to continue with this amazing show and have it air during a different time slot on a different day it could boost ratings and prove that this show can be a success! I look forward to sitting down every Sunday night and immersing myself in a different world. It breaks my heart to fall in love with a new show only for it to be canceled before it's even really begun. I know I can't be the only one that feels this way. So, ABC please give Blood & Oil more time! The fans won't let you down!
If you love this show, better sign the petition to ABC and ask them not to cancel. Please reblog.
There's a petition to save Blood and Oil from cancellation--Tumblr won't let me post the link in the message here, but I'll post a link to it on my Tumblr. Maybe you can reblog it. ;) I love this show too. ♥
I’ve been pretty busy and just saw the message. I’m reblogging. Thanks!!
ABC's 'Blood and Oil' Episode Order Trimmed to 10
The freshman drama has been dragging down the network's Sunday originals.
ABC is ending its Sunday night bleeding early.
The network has reduced the episode order of freshman dramaBlood and Oil from 13 to 10 episodes, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The series will continue to air through the end of the calendar year in its current Sundays at 10 p.m. slot, at least for the time being.
Blood & Oil is one of several rookie series to have undergone major behind-the-scenes changes ahead of its premiere, including a showrunner change that was announced minutes after ABC presented the series to reporters at TCA.
Sources say creator Josh Pate's (Moonlight) vision post-pilot never was fully embraced by the network, which was looking for more "OMG" moments a la Scandal. That didn't work with the emotional soap that showrunner Cynthia Cidre (Dallas) and her team had written, which led to Jon Harmon Feldman (Dirty Sexy Money) being brought in to try and create what the network wants. The series — which also underwent numerous recastings — now is said to have two writers rooms, one led by Feldman and the other, featuring Cidre, given little to do.
Airing Sundays at 9 p.m., Blood & Oil has been the sore spot on ABC's Sunday lineup. The soap starring Don Johnson and Chace Crawford, and marking the former's TV return, opened soft to 6.3 million total viewers and has been bleeding viewers since. Its most recent broadcast collected only 3.5 million total viewers, making for a poor lead-in for fall hit Quantico, which has already been picked up for an additional six episodes. When factoring in three days of DVR returns, the premiere added only 36 percent among adults 18-49 bringing its haul to 1.9 million among the advertiser-coveted demo.
Blood and Oil joins fellow doomed freshman Minority Report (Fox) and The Player (NBC), who both saw their initial 13-episode orders reduced. Minority Report will wrap its run after 10, with Player after nine. ABC, meanwhile, has also granted a full-season order to comedy Dr. Ken, leaving fellow half-hour The Muppets as its lone freshman series whose fate remains unclear.
