I’ve been working my ass off in the same company for 10 years. My s/o has changed careers 3 times in the last 10 and has had 5 jobs, in total, in those 10 years. He got to take time to figure out what he wanted to do as a career. He’s currently figuring out his hobby along with wanting to make a future career out of it.

In these past 10 years I’ve: paid for all the things (groceries, dinner/lunch/breakfast/subscription meals, drinks, vet bills, emergency situations, gas , weed {specifically wax}, furniture), saved the most money, used my money to get us out of debt, used my credit for credit cards to upgrade things in our life, paid for rainy day issues, paid back all money owed and never asked for anything. Because he didn’t have the money to help or do. So I did.

Now. I’m pregnant with our first kid. I want to be a sahm. We’ve always discussed it and agreed on it, but it looks like I’ll be working for the rest of my life while he gets to follow his dreams/change careers.

I have not once yet been able to follow my dreams. My career is stressful so I don’t have the brain power to do things in my free time other than adult things (grocery shop, clean, take care of dogs, laundry, etc). My creativity is shot.

Now that I’m finally getting what I’ve wanted for a long time (a child), he’s going to make his life easier instead of mine. Why? Because my job pays the bills and his doesn’t. His money goes to the things he wants/putting back into his hobby. I’ll probably never become a tattoo artist or a sahm. And those are things I’ve had to learn to accept.

I don’t want to say anything to him bc I know he’s gonna feel like less a man. And that’s gonna hurt even more. I don’t want to take his light. But I miss mine.

I need to bitch to no one. That’s what tumblr is for.

So I’m pregnant. My s/o works full time and so do I. My s/o doesn’t get home from work till 7. I’m home by 5/5:30 on a late day. I make my s/o lunch. I’m the only one that loads and unloads the dishwasher. That does any cleaning. That does the laundry. Takes care of the dogs. Cleans the bedroom. Cleans the bathrooms. Now my s/o has picked up a full time hobby. So when s/o gets home, s/o is either sitting on the couch scrolling on phone or doing something with hobby. While I’m dying in pain. Or sickness. After working 10 hours. And doing all the housework. Most of the time I can’t get to it till the weekend because I’m hurting or tired. S/o works 6 days a week. I feel for s/o. But I only see s/o one day a week. And s/o wants to spend half the day doing their hobby out of the house and the other half in the house.

I’m growing a baby. An entire child. On the 2nd trimester. I can’t sleep. I can’t eat without getting sick. I have heartburn all the time. My back hurts. But s/o has it so easy. They don’t even realize how easy. I go to doc appts. I pay for mainly everything. Like don’t get me wrong, s/o is a great partner. They really try to help and I’m really just bitching. But fuck. When is it my turn. I support their dreams. Job changes. Whatever. While I’ve been with the same company for a decade. I never got to fulfill my dreams because bills. I don’t get to now because s/o is following their dreams again. Finding themselves. When. Is. It. My. Turn. To. Do. Me.

I’m tired of taking care of everyone and no one taking care of me. I’m tired. Always tired.

Then s/o has the audacity to try to quit said hobby today. Yet another thing they’d be quitting/giving up. So I fought against it. When I should’ve been fighting for it to end. But I refuse to not let someone follow their dreams. To do what makes them happy. Just out of hope that I will receive that same love one day.

But here I am. Just a wife. Just a mom to be. Just a dog mom. Just a dm. Nothing else. But a robot. Doing the same shit day in and day out. I thought I’d lose myself after pregnancy but I’m losing me now. I’m very much losing it.

That’s it. That’s the bitching. Fuck living and fuck having a large heart and fuck everyone for not having my back and taking care of me. When all I do is take care of them.
