The return of the Queen

Her dreams were haunting at first, recurring memories of what had happened and it made her roll up into a ball and wince in her sleep. It almost woke her when Tresh sat on the bed, and she made a sound as well. Comfortable she thought and wondered why in the half-asleep state she was now in. She then felt the touch of his arm around her and she knew. He came. Still afraid of having hurt him it took her half an hour before she dared to open her eyes and turn around so she would be facing the warden.
The moment she saw him again it became all too real and tears sprung from her eyes. He was there, he didn’t reject her and really came. She was speechless, not that she could talk much anyway. A few seconds passes and then she buried her face in his chest, hugging him tightly and ignoring the pain that caused while crying for the first time in centuries.

Thresh didn’t say a word the entire time. He was too busy fighting off the urge to pull her close, stroke her hair or back, or any other displays of affection. She had been hurt, so the only thing he could safely offer was his presence.
When Elise, the love of his undeath, turn to him, the Warden smirked confidently, bearing his pearly whites, “Heya~” he teased, embracing the Spider Queen into his bosom. Thresh curled his arms around his beloved and caressed her back, gently running his fingers through her hair, “Elise. I love you so much,” he whispered firmly, gingerly kissing her forehead.

She cried. She let it all out, all of the pent up stress, fear, despair, suffering and lonelyness. All this time she wasn’t capable of doing so, ever since the ordeal she didn’t feel safe and secure anymore, not even in her own home. Not until she was close to him again. He was safe, trustworthy and kind to her like no other. He hadn’t even responded angry or disappointed like she feared but instead he was there and gave her exactly what she needed. The feeling of dread she had was slowly fading. Her state was still horrible but at least she felt safe now.
Elise clung tight to Tresh, holding him with her arm, leg and all the legs on her back that could reach him. Tears still flowing from her eyes she looked up at him after she recieved a kiss on her forehead. She opened her mouth but all that came out was a croaking sound that made her wince, it hurt too much to speak. The queen looked him in the eye and kissed him instead. It would carry more meaning than anything she could say.

The Warden received the kiss graciously, holding back and paying mind to her weakened state. Elise was so tired that the toxins normally present in her saliva were quite absent, leaving Thresh almost yearning for the burn that mirrored the feeling in his very soul. “Don’t speak. Just take a deep breath and relax. I’ll be awake all night, waiting for you to wake, my Queen,” he said gently, almost inaudibly. Thresh ran the palm of his hand up and down Elise’s back, trying to make her loosen up as he ran his fingers against her neck. “You are my one and only, the reason I breathe. I love you, Elise.” The Warden recited his Queen’s name almost intoxicatedly, relishing in the pleasure of saying his beloved’s name. bloodmoonslut
The queen collapsed in his arms once again while the faintest purr escaped her lips. She closed her eyes and wrapped her finger around some of Tresh’s hair, slowly playing with it. Again she tried to respond but her voice failed her this time as well. His embrace was warm, something she had to miss for so long. Finally she could sleep in peace, trusting to wake up in her lovers arms the next morning.
