Toby Adams: And Toby Adams, hoooly shit don't get me started. Underrated as FUCK, I love him. I imagine the original Ticci-Toby *just* like Toby Adams when he's going through depressive episodes. That's kinda how I seperate them. I like how he killed both his parents and is a deeply psychological character, there's so much to him. I remember in 2023, I wrote down every single sentence from every single audio book David Nears has made to analyze his character haha

He's a lot more reserved and quiet, but in a creepy and stern way. I could rant about this forever, he's so tuff I'm drooling. I also like the hallucination David gave him, he's a good schizophrenia representation.

It's a bit funny to me how everyone thinks Needles and Smiles, The Morgue Files and all of the other audios are canon for Ticci-Toby, even though they're made for a whole different character (Toby Adams.) The only canon audio Ticci-Toby has is the one where he yaps about his pesky doctors trying to silence him 🥀 Yeah, to be fair, Toby Adams is more of a rip off, but he has a lot of uniquenesses and concepts I love. He wasn't portrayed as this "angsty teenager that is all traumatized and shy uwu nya and needs a big daddy to take care of him" like most other Toby versions where he's portrayed as a defenseless twink. So shortly said, I love Toby Adams. I haven't listened to the audio books in a hot while, I definitely need to do that again

ur drawings are so gorgeous! Seeing how much your art has improved is so cool, do u have any tips on drawing/ coloring ?

watch a looooot of tutorials, have painters you look up to and look for tutorials that actually follow your style!

most of the time when I search for tuts on YouTube, for example hair, they teach you how to draw hair in a more anime-ish style. those aren't good, if you prefer having a more realistic style. I cant say too much, it really depends on what art style you have.

also, make yourself a pinterest board with a bunch of random colors to pick from. basically as color palettes [picture bellow]

get inspired, look around to see how color works on things, learn 3D shapes and how objects move, bend... all of that stuff. analyze as much as possible.

try giving your art a "theme" too. I like having mine more whimsical and fanaty-like. i dont follow realism. i mix it.

to make art pop out more, make the face saturated and the background darker. less detailed & desaturated.

there's so much to note, what's important is that you focus on enjoying it rather than hardcore improving. the imposter syndrom you'll get is big lmao, and most of the time, it'll feel like you're drawing out of jealousy instead of joy. focus on appreciating what you already mastered.

Not to sound mean but have you ever/will you ever draw jane with textured hair? Ive noticed all the drawings you have on here have her with straight/wavy hair and im trying to find more artists who draw her with black features

Been thinking about it a lot lately, actually! I've been trying to learn how to draw textured hair anyway, so I could definitely try with Jane once I draw her again.

The last few times I've drawn her was with the straight, long hair, as I gave her the 'canon' wigs she wears. Though, I really wanna play around with the types of wigs she wears, too. I don't follow what's canon with her anyway and want to give her a proper representation. Jane is Haitian and Korean in my AU, while also being a goth. I tried showing the goth part in my last drawing by giving her the teased hair & typical goth bangs, so my next "project" was giving her textured hair and facial features to show her other represenations.
