Ludik and the Runaway Mountain by John Ilho (ILHO)
This is an really good book about a boy that is deaf, and has his world turned upside down
One day in a small village he lives in with his shoemaker father, and homemaker mother is ruined when the mountain they live under, decides to literary move.
And poor Ludik sees his father die, and when the winter comes the rest of his village. He is then found and adopted by a whisky maker, becomes friends with a mage that likes to set things on fire, a baker's nice that can't keep her nose clean, and a woman with anger problems. That's when he learns that, when the mountain moved signaled the end of the world, and the mage, the baker's nice, anger lady and Ludik has to stop it.
And they not only have to save their world, but two worlds.
When I was in Oslo for the medieval festival in May, I bought this book, and I didn't really intend to buy it. But my younger brother saw a sign saying the author was there signing the book, but he wasn't with the sign, and said to his SO. 'I would have bought this book, if only the author was here, just for the bragging rights of saying I have a signed book'.
And who asked him if he wanted to hear more about the book? My brother just showed up and the author out of nowhere. So now my brother and I have a signed book.
John Ilho looked so happy when we bought the book, so my brother's theories were that he didn't have many people interested in the book. So I decided to include a QR code where you can buy the book. And a not so flattering picture of my fingers
