Bloody Bad is an artists' collective formed by Acacia Hope and Sarah Greenlaw. It is currently based out of Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.

Bloody Bad LIVES

So. We’ve been a bit radio-silence recently, and for that, we truly deeply apology. College graduation meant entrance into the ~*real world*~ and that is pretty damn scary.

But fret not, weary travels. Bloody Bad is still up and kicking. AND we’ve got some news. A new project will be announce before the end of the year. What will it be? No one knows! We don’t even know yet! ---Wait, that’s not good. We should know. We do know. Promise.

Zine covers are screenprinted on Butcher Extra Blue Dur-o-Tone French paper with silver Speedball ink, and the interior pages are laser printed on True White Speckletone French Paper.

Some of the artists featured in Sweater Weather are also graduating seniors at MICA, and you can see their work in the upcoming Commencement Exhibition running from May 15th to 18th!

Sorry about that.  We’re in the process of printing Sweater Weather, I swear.

Decker Library invites you to join the delicious fun and imagination of its Second Annual Edible Book Festival on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Pinkard Gallery, Bunting Center!

Any current MICA student, faculty or staff member may enter. To qualify, entries “must be ‘bookish’ through the integration of text, literary inspiration or, quite simply, the form.” All entries must be made out of something edible and reference books in some way, be it through the title, characters, author, cover/illustrations, etc.

After voting is complete, we get to eat all the entries!

The winners will receive prizes and certificates in honor of their victory. Come vote for and sample entries even if you don’t make anything yourself.

Submissions for Sweater Weather are closed. We want to thank each and every one of you who liked and reblogged our call for entry, and for everyone who submitted awesome art! The paper has been ordered, the cover is being designed, and we're in the process of curating the submissions. Accepted artists will be notified by email tomorrow, February 17th. 

But-but-but mine's almost done! I'm putting the finishing touches on it right now as I type this!! Fret not! Maybe you forgot yesterday was the 15th. Maybe you got stuck in a time vortex and lost a week and a half of your life. Email us as [email protected] and, on a case by case basis, we may be accepting late submissions.

Help! My dog ate my zine submission!

The day of the Sweater Weather deadline has arrived!  But what's this?  Your file is corrupted!  You hamster had babies and used your drawing paper to build a nest!  You slept for 36 hours straight and have no idea what day it is!

If you think that you're going to be late with your submission but still want to participate, please message us here or drop us an email at [email protected] and let us know what's going on.  We would rather have quality submissions than ones that are incomplete or rushed due to personal emergencies.

Bloody Bad Collective is putting together our second zine, Sweater Weather. We’re a MICA-based artist’s collective, and our first zine, Eerie & Haunting featured 16 great MICA artists. This time around, we’re looking for even more students to submit to our winter-themed zine.

Each artist will receive a free copy of the finished zine, too!
