A woman will return looking for the girl she was
I love you too much, Iβm no good at leaving
I feel like even texting someone I miss them makes me feel down bad
Fairies
I feel like a girl again
But one with no diary, with no secrets to keep
What things should be hidden away as I dance around my room
the closest of memories fill my mind as my soul mends itself back together
How young I am, how old I appear to be, how youthful I feel
The giggles leave my small body in remembrance of nights that could have been written in coming of age films
Is this what it feels like to be happy, is it normal to reminisce on such pleasure of the flesh, should I day dream of anything else to displace myself from attachment, write it down let it go, leave my smile to that night, nights that I rarely get to have
In the generalized fad of my sick mind I live in moments that are safe enough for me to stomach to escape my waking day, depression, bills, worrying, stressβ¦ my ass losing itβs shape, my boobs moving with gravity, my struggling to eat although my weight has slipped below its bmi, perhaps not, but here I am, twirling dolls in my hand that I should have packed away, that I work 9 hours in heels to afford, anything to get the girl back that was stolen from me at her unripened age, I still hear her, but only see her on nights like those, so I shall dance, I shall writeβ¦ I shall play with the dolls I whored so hard to buy, because the only little girl I have is myself and as she cries, my adult self dies just a little more everyday, I must make her happy to survive my day to day life, this is all for her οΏΌ
(A Trap That Felt Like Home)
For what itβs worth I felt peace in a nightmare
Like waiting in the fog I knew would never clear
All my hopes I kept in that basket that deteriorated more as the years went on
Starring into the nothing where only shadows would pass as I clutched my heart to feel if it was still beating
Iβm lonely here
But why do I still sit in this fog, in this limbo, in this purgatory
Iβm waiting for you, waiting to see if your face shows clearly through the grey
But it never did
Just blurry images of you that Iβd often run closer to, seeing if I could finally see a brighter picture
But they were all dull
If I asked for nothing as I hear gnashing of promises unkept, lies to keep me near, I would have asked for my freedom without force, without hate, without words I cannot take back, without fists I swore to never throw at someone I once found beauty in
But even the most beautiful things go dark, so I left my basket by that tree that died along with our children and headed towards the dim light, with every step maybe I⦠can reach my way out of this limbo, out of this nightmare, out of this purgatory.. just maybe
