â glassan, stop worrying so much, iâm not pushing myself too hard, iâm fine, if you just let me focus on the saiark iâll â â her voice broke abruptly when she was hit; usually, she would have been able to avoid the punch, but now she hadnât even noticed until it was too late. her partner had a point⊠maybe. despite the pain racking through her, fortune didnât scream â she didnât let out a single whimper, even as the impact sent her crashing against a building with enough force for it to partially collapse. all she did was grit her teeth & force herself to stand up, legs shaking, vision blurring & the fairyâs worried protests making her head throb. â iâll finish this quickly, itâs not like i have a choice â who else are you counting on, anyway? not princess, right? â
â ⊠oh, â she said a moment later, noticing another legendary warrior had arrived at the scene. the saiark was finished off before sheâd even fully processed this change in events, & her fellow precure ( older, much more regal, much stronger than herself⊠not unlike her sister ) walked towards her. it was all she could do not to let herself fall on her knees, the pain almost too much to bear. â ⊠i guess i owe you thanks, â she managed after a few seconds, hating the way her voice cracked at the end. // @bloomingmoonlight
Cure Moonlight didnât dive into battle right away. She arrived as soon as she felt the Saiarkâs presence, but when she saw one of those PreCards-wielding Precures arrived first, she decided to sit back and observe the scene.
For a few minutes, it went pretty well. The new girl was keeping the monster on its toes, with a mix of small projectile-based attacks from her Love PreBrace and physical assaults that gave away a proficiency in martial arts off-transformation.
But after she took a pretty nasty hit, her fairy companion dived in, and she began arguing with them. The corner of Moonlightâs lips twitched, that was her first big mistake. The Saiark saw an opening and took the opportunity to regain the upper hand, sending the girl violently crashing into a building. She pulled herself off the rubbles no problem, but then she resumed her argument with her partner.
Cure Moonlight couldnât hold back a click of her tongue. She saw enough.
She leaped off of her vantage point, diving straight toward the monster, which was slowly advancing toward the younger Precure, probably to strike her again while she was still vulnerable.
She pulled out her Moon Tact. She wouldnât leave that abomination this satisfaction.
âPrecure Floral Power Fortissimo!â
Still airborne, she readied her attack and aimed it at the Saiark. Its power hurled her forward, and she struck it right on its back in what she was sure would be a finishing blow. The Fortissimo pierced the enemy, and Moonlight reappeared between it and the rookie Precure.
With a flick of her wrist, her attack detonated, and the Saiark exploded. Moonlight didnât even bother glancing over her shoulder to make sure it was defeated.
Instead, she approached the other Precure, who gave her a shy thanks. Moonlight just crossed her arms and stared at her withotu responding, until she turned her attention to the fairy floating by her side.
âWhat were you telling her? She seemed more angry at you than she was at the Saiark.â
