ALRIGHTY! I know it's been a while so I shall recap which designs have been done and which ones still need completed. I should hopefully have Bloodmoon and Harvestmoon's designs done next!

DESIGNS I'VE COMPLETED SO FAR + ONES I STILL NEED TO DO
Alrighty! Here's Bloodmoon and Harvestmoon, I decided to not stray that far from their canon designs but added a bit of my own details that I thought was fitting. I was gonna make a design for when they're merged together but I'll do that on a separate drawing since when I tried to include all three it felt cluttered.
I decided to throw my own little spin to what fantasy creature they're meant to take after. I had the idea of maybe when they're separated they're able to change their eyes into what is considered "normal" animatronic eyes to be able to blend in and then once they find their target once night comes that's when they switch to their hunting eyes and hunt.
For this AU Harvest is the one who mainly does the blending in and looking for a target while Blood is the one who mainly hunts. To me their canon designs made sense for this situation due to the fact that Bloodmoon's design reminds me of scouts or something trying to not be seen while hunting. While Harvestmoon to me feels like he'd be able to fool those he's wanting to fool quite easily due to the fact that he could sneak in and pretend to be one of the animatronics that the humans in charge of the research camp had for making farms for them.
Something that I also included was that both of them have daggers on them that they use during hunts and when their claws are covered by their gloves.
Here's Lunars/Cosmos design for my Fantasy Research AU!
In this AU they're gonna be called Lunar with Cosmos being either a nickname from his family or possibly what he's called in rumors/stories from the human researchers. Haven't decided that yet.

I'm so glad your finding my little Fantasy Research AU interesting! To be honest it took me a while to come up with which fantasy/mythological creatures would go well with each character or as close as possible to something I'd enjoy working with. Some instantly clicked, like Earth being a fairy for example. While others took a while to figure out, like Solar and Eclipse's secret fantasy/mythological creature roots.
As for who's design I'll probably reveal next, honestly might be either Jack or Bloodmoon? Most likely Jack since I haven't had the chance to figure out having 3 different designs for Bloodmoon (One for when the two are merged together and two others for when they're split).
I've got multiple ideas that I have for this AU that I wanna talk about at some point (possibly even write it on Ao3 or here on Tumblr or something like that, idk yet). Feel free to send more asks if you want! I enjoy answering questions. :)
I present, Moon's design for my SAMS Fantasy Research Au Concept. It's quite simple compared to others but to me that makes me like it a bit more. Don't want to make the designs so different that it's hard to tell that it's Moon without reading the list, though I might change one of his eyes to blue like how I did when drawing for a very tiny portion of the October drawing prompts. Also for the hat I decided to leave the stars out cause even if it would probably fit given that stars are giant balls of fire practically, I thought it'd look too busy given that I decided to switch out the bell for a flame. Thought of it kinda like how Charmander from Pokémon (Pls correct me if I misspelled the Pokémons name, it's been a while since I looked at the spelling of the names) has their fire tail, liked how it looked and thought it'd fit better instead of a bell.
I also made patches all over Moon cause I thought that maybe he'd could've gotten them from practicing while growing up and overtime got tired of having to repaint himself so he left the patches and think he'd probably try to look cool with them. (Plus I like the thought of him secretly using the patches as a way to help other animatronics that are growing up and are fire elemental spirits, to help show them that even if what their ability is might be considered dangerous or harmful that with enough practice they'll be able to use that fire to protect their fellow animatronics and their island home. A way to show others that while Moon can seem difficult to outsiders, that he still cares for those he calls family.)
So far I've gotten a decent idea of what I want each of the main(ish) characters to be. The reason I say main ish is cause at some point I want to include other characters in the SAMS universe, for example Dazzle & Molten (Maybe Nova & Frost too), cause I haven't thought of anything fitting for them yet. Might make polls for those two specifically so that something will be chosen. But I might also make a poll to see what other animatronics (both from the shows and maybe OC?) might work for this AU. The list for the Celestial family (the main characters for this AU) is under the keep reading cause I realized this was getting quite long.
So far the list for the characters are as follows:
Sun: Water Elemental Spirit
Moon: Fire Elemental Spirit
[For Sun and Moon I thought it'd be nice to have opposites for them while also making their elements match them in a way. Given that both fire and water can be dangerous but also comforting at the same time. For example water is often considered calm and usually used to put out certain fires but water can also be dangerous with causing damage if there's enough of it. While fire is considered dangerous due to it being able to burn stuff but can also be calming like a cozy fireplace or a campfire. Idk if that makes sense or not but I thought it'd be cute and I felt it matched them, with Sun often being considered calming but can be dangerous while Moon often being considered dangerous but can be calming.]
Earth: Fairy
[I just figured a fairy would fight Earth the best since she once was able to change her size, going from pocket sized all the way to being taller than the daycare doorways. Which honestly is quite mischievous in my opinion and I have a feeling that if she were a fairy she'd use those types of powers to mess with researchers (more specifically targeting the human ones once all the animatronics that live on the island found out that the animatronics the humans had used to be from their home and that they had no idea due to the humans cruelty of wiping their memories.]
Lunar: Kitsune
[I figured this one would somewhat work from what I've been able to find so far, mostly due to the fact that Lunar at a point in time was able to change forms when he had his first body after the "Monty Plea-" moment. Plus Kitsune are known to also be tricksters, which at times Lunar is a trickster in my opinion. If anyone is able to find another fantasy/mythological creature that might fight Lunar better than I'll gladly hear suggestions.]
Eclipse: "Normal" Animatronic Researcher
[Unknowingly a Phoenix due to how animatronics like himself have no memory of their life before growing among the humans in the lab to become unwilling assistants in research. Liked the idea of possibly having animatronics that are from the human world being secretly from the island and had been stolen from different times and their memories wiped so they'll think they're just regular human made machines.]
KC: Centaur
[The thought of KC carrying around his kids while they grew up on his back whenever they go tired was cute to me. Actually just him doing that in general for all of his family sounds adorable.]
Bloodmoon: Rokurokubi
Harvestmoon: Rokurokubi
[My reasoning for both Bloodmoon and Harvest moon getting the same thing is that maybe instead of the creatures head detatching to go find a sustainable resource I thought it could be the twins separating from being a singular entity. Where if one gets hungry or if the one hungry is unable to get food themselves they'd be able to seperate so that they could spread out to find their food source. Idk, if anyone has thoughts of a creature(s) that might be better for them I wouldn't mind ideas.]
Solar Flare: Selkie
[I'm gonna be completely honest one of the only reasons I picked Selkie for Solar Flare is the fact that the thought of KC being extremely protective while holding onto Flare's seal coat for them whenever they're nowhere near water or the ocean. Plus the many stories of Selkies being in forced marriages if their coat is stolen would probably make KC's mother hen nature 10x worse. I wanted an excuse to make KC protective over them.]
Solar: "Normal" Animatronic Researcher
[Conveniently Eclipse's twin in this universe cause I thought it'd be cute, since in canon they're technically the same person just from different universes. Thought of making him a phoenix too but decided to go with a Thunderbird instead so that they're different from eachother while also both having bird looking mythological creatures.]
Jack: Smol "Normal" Animatronic
[Solar's kid and Eclipse's nephew that they found abandoned in their beginning days as researchers, he's actually a Kelpie Shapeshifter that is very protective of his found family (all the animatronic researchers, especially Eclipse & Solar). So whenever one of the human researchers are being extremely mean to his dad or uncle he would sneak off in the middle of the night to lure the human away from campe while everyone else was either sleeping or charging. The older animatronics made sure none of the human researchers are able to get close enough to Jack while alone so that his memory isn't wiped.)
Soooo, Earth is somehow a fairy. Idk why I chose a fairy for her given how tiny they are and how tall Earth is. I remembered once that Earth was able to adjust her height, so that's gonna be my excuse for Earth being a fairy for my au concept.
After like 5 months. Yeesh. To be fair I had a valid reason, which was the device I usually use to draw decided to become a pain to use and I've been trying to relearn drawing on a different app and on a new device.
Wow it's been a while, thought it'd be good to just throw a random drawing I've made recently for a concept AU I had. Been really into fantasy kinda related stuff recently and learning about them and I was reading @theallianceofcelestials's SEA AU again and got inspired by that concept of KC just randomly adopting Eclipse while the rest of his family isn't present at that moment.
My whole idea is that Eclipse is a part of a research team sent off to somewhere (haven't decided the place yet) and ends up stumbling into KC after being left for dead by his team, resulting in him getting the KC special. ✨️Adoption✨️
Then the two of them traverse through the entire place in search for KC's family members who was scattered around the place before Eclipse's old research team can find the fantasy animatronic like creatures. The thought worms are a wiggling. It's still in the beginning stages of thought but it's something that's been giving me motivation to draw the celestial family again lol.

Kc: Centaur (Honestly I figured he'd look nice as a centaur and that it would be adorable if he'd be able to give his family rides on his back. Like if his children were sleepy he can easily jusr plop them on his back.)

Alrighty, this is the first time I’m ever posting anything to this blog and it’s fanart of a baby eclipse lol. Got inspired by @theallianceofcelestials’s baby SEA eclipse drabbles and all of the other ones too. Plus I loved seeing all of the art of baby eclipses and their chubby little cheeks. This is of my little version of a baby eclipse wi a little plushie of a wrench, I thought it was a cute idea.
