WE NEED HELP!! Our commune, named Majakka (Lighthouse in Finnish), which is largely composed of queer, gay and trans people and children, is in danger of collapsing due to insufficient funds to pay the rent for the next month. We have functioned as a safe haven for people internationally to either just visit or move, so that they can have a safe place to go to. Without the rent money for next month it’s possible that multiple trans people and children would go homeless.
So please help us make rent and keep a roof over the head of the well over a dozen people who either live here or otherwise depend on it for their existence. We would be eternally grateful for every single cent raised for this cause.
The starting goal of 300€ is to cover the same amount missing from one room’s rent, which is housing Fenia (me), Zoe (a trans abuse survivor fleeing from her parents), and Redge, a Russian activist who could be facing death in Russia if they have to go back there. The room we have is big, but the rent matches the size at 900€ a month (plus water and electricity). If this cost is covered it means that the most of our issues are solved, but because of certain things I can only update about later, we might need a lot more assistance.
Thank you for your time <3

So... How’s about helping out a struggling native lesbian in this here Pride and Indigenous History Month?
I feel like such shit doing this, and it’s why I hate having to resort to it. But life sucks sometimes and things happen. Like my brother getting acute pancreatitis and having to stay off work for at least a week, but possibly more if it’s as bad as it may be–right now we don’t even know when he’ll be discharged. (This is the third time it’s happened to him, and the physicians have yet to figure out what the cause is. So in case you were wondering, I am absolutely terrified.) And on top of all that, him not being able to work is an extreme blow to my family’s financial well-being. We just had to use the last bit of gas in the car to get him to the hospital, so I’m not even sure how I’ll be getting to work tomorrow. (But we’ll cross that bridge in the morning!)
In the chance you’re reading this and are able to help:
1) Please pray for my brothers health, if you’re the praying sort. His name is Charley. He’s only nineteen years old and he is dealing with something you’d expect to see in a person four times his age.
2) If you have any money to spare, please consider visiting my Ko-fi page?
3) Please share this post.
I would be so incredibly grateful for any and all of the above, with all my heart. Mi'watm ta'n teliapoqonmuioq! (I am thankful for all your help!)

Help A Mohawk Musician get to a Traditional Festival!
She:kon everyone! My name is Sam Hill! I’m Kanien'kehá:ka artist and musician. I’m trying to raise money to perform some of my music at the Mohawk Strawberry festival in Saratoga Springs at the end of June! I’m really excited to have the opportunity to play in such a special place for Kanien'kehá:ka. It will give me a chance to learn more about my culture, meet new Onkwehonwe, and share my music at the same time! The money would be used for gas, hotel, and food! I would really appreciate any help you can give in donation and sharing. Nia:wen!

Please help me raise funds for my surgery. This is not a want or a cosmetic surgery, it is a need. I am 58 years old and I do not want to wait any longer than I already have. Thank you so much, love Susie
Hello, I am writing this update to explain that for me this surgery is not just a surgery. It is a life saving procedure. I suffer from intense gender dysphoria but I also need this surgery to be my complete self, who I always wanted to be. Please help give me me that chance if you can spare a donation. Thank you and much love, Susie
Hey, please consider sending a few bucks if you have any to spare Susie’s way. She is working really hard to save up for surgery but unfortunately it’s hard to save while struggling to get by overall. Donations have slowed and with the current political climate in the states it’s imperative she be able to access gender affirming surgery asap. Susie has expressed this surgery is what she needs to complete her transition and has been a goal for her most of her life. She gives so much back to her community through care and volunteer work, peer counselling, supporting those with addictions and former prisoners reintegrating into the a outside a world, all in addition to tirelessly fighting for LGBT causes and now needs our support in return.
Susie is also now taking care of her disabled brother full time while maintaining a job and doing work in her community. It’s as crucial as ever she gets some support so she can save up for her surgery.
Susie recently had her 60th birthday and often has trouble keeping faith that she will reach her goal. Please please continue to share and donate!
As of February 24th, 2018, she’s raised $5,395 out of her $15,000 goal.

Help a trans writer + get free books
Hi, I’m a trans Latina writer and editor. For the past few years I’ve been writing books and working to create more publishing opportunities for other trans women. I’m a co-editor of an anthology of fiction by trans women of color; and I’m also currently putting together a collection of my translations of poetry by the Venezuelan trans writer Esdras Parra, which will include critical writing and art by a few other trans women.
It’s always been a struggle for me to get my work noticed, but the past few months have been financially rough. I’m posting this as a way of asking for donations to help cover the rent while also letting you know that my work is available and the books I make are free to download because I want everyone, especially other struggling trans women, to be able to read them. If you can afford it just send me a small donation (like $5) at paypal.me/jberrout when you get the books. Thanks!
