We're blessed to finally have a bright Saturday after 8 days of grey skies. The reality of living in Paris is you're not seeing the Eiffel tower every day. So I love to spend some weekends riding past the more touristic side of this city, those romantic parts that echo what you may commonly dream about when you hear Paris. After living here for 4 months, you start to look at the buildings, scenery and people with more familiar eyes. You develop habits that are only unique to living in a particular type of city: watching where you walk to avoid stepping on turds, the repeated act of taking off and putting on your coats and scarves, selective eye contact, heightened safety awareness... The one thing that maintains is I still notice random acts of kindness, almost daily. From the guy in the metro who pauses to help a mother carry her pram up the stairs to the driver who lets you enter his lane. Once you begin to notice these small acts of kindness every day, you train yourself for optimism. When you focus on perceiving the small hints of beauty around you, naturally you'll inspire the hope and positivity that brings the world together. (at Belleville, Paris)
back to the pretty south where it's always sunny 🌞 as much as I love Paris, there is just this charm in the air about being amongst these centuries old provencial stone buildings. #thisissummer #provence #southfrance #aixenprovence #provenciallife #lastsummer (at Aix-en-provence Vieille Ville)
You’re a musician and a photographer and a poet; a storyteller and a dancer and a designer—a multiplatform artist, in the term one sometimes sees. Which means that you haven’t got time for your 10,000 hours in any of your chosen media. But technique or expertise is not the point. The point is versatility. Like any good business, you try to diversify.

I can't believe that in 3 days I'll be sprung out of my nest and catapulted into a completely foreign environment. Right now, it's a peaceful raining evening at home and I feel as if I could curl up in my place of serenity and quietly enjoy the feeling of solitude for hours at length. In the past few weeks, I've caught up with friends I hadn't seen in years and also had a blast with new ones. I've been able to embrace every moment, even ones where I expressed myself least and even more so the ones spent only with myself. Every argument I ever had with my parents, every routine moment becomes a day to cherish when it's called "the last one." I've never been so sentimental about the things I used to find ordinary. There's some beauty when a chapter ends, but the way I see it, everything is temporary, even endings are. #lovebrisbane #bne #home #imfiveforever #aix #provence #parisdontbemean
“But U is a little more democratic. The biggest issue was to design things that are essential enough to be timeless, and understood by everyone. Elevated basics, I call them. Our ambition is to fill the gap between what’s fashion and what’s ‘normal.’ I know the word ‘normcore’ is overused, but there’s something about normality I find very interesting — how do you make it super normal but refined and cool and desirable?”

To understand how to be at peace with myself and with others. To learn how to turn adversity into opportunity. To live with a bigger sense of purpose. All this I have learned from my practice in Falun Dafa, the biggest blessing of my life. Happy World Falun Dafa day (May 13).
