Happy Wednesday! I’m feeling more relaxed today after a heart rate raising, muscle burning, toning power workout this morning (which I can still feel in my arms and abs, thanks @sarahs_day 😂), a group therapy session, nourishing food, family support and basically just a bit of radical acceptance of our current situation. What will be will be! Emotionally resisting adverse situations intensifies distress and suffering, whereas when we practice radical acceptance, we make space for problem solving, we react less intensely and our suffer reduces. When I’m stressed, it’s really important for myself to not neglect my body by filling up on processed foods, but instead continue to eat a vitamin-rich plantbased diet that allows my body and mind to thrive. Eating colourful, nutrient dense meals is an important everyday self-care and self-respect practice for me! Tonight’s dinner is my latest obsession, a pumpkin + garlic-cashew nourish bowl 👌 this is steamed pumpkin, with steamed veggies (bok choy, mushrooms & courgette) & red kidney beans, all topped with a garlic-cashew sauce, parsley & chilli flakes.
