SNK characters and the can you buy me pads text, part I
Sakura wasn't badly written. People just can't let go of their preconceived ideas of who the characters are or how the story is supposed to go. But Sakura's feelings for Sasuke weren't shallow, they weren't based on his popularity or looks, her lesson was not growing past her love because it was holding her back. Her love didn't make her weak or hold her back. Because it wasn't shallow.
Sasuke was never abusive, used her, or looked down on her. He doesn't have a shred of misogyny in his body. He was always honest and pushed her because Sasuke did care about her safety and he did see her potential. And he did appreciate her kindness. A lot. Sasuke didn't get a lot of that. Sasuke always supported her growth and was happy for her when he saw it. And je wasn't even phased because unlike others, Sasuke recognized that potential.
Lee and Naruto by contrast wanted to treat her like a princess or like a prize to be won. And in another story in which Sakura is a victim to an abusive toxic boyfriend that she is infatuated with, Sakura's lesson would have been to end up with one of them. But maybe that's not the message of this stoty. Maybe in this stoey the message all along was meant to be that sometimes women know themselves better than others do and to respect women's choices. Lee is an awesome guy because even though he didn't get her, he doesn't feel she owes him. Naruto came to realize Sakura wasn't just a prize for him. And he, more than anyone, came to understand her thoughts and feelings and to respect them.
Say it louder for those in the back
Apologies for butting in, but the whole " if sarada was karin's and sasuke's child, she would still have Sakura's super strength " ; they are basing that off of the fact that sasuke copied rock Lee's moves and speed during the chunin exams..
That doesn't make the claim any more credible.
Sasuke can actually visually observe Lee's movements and speed, he can train his body to have the physical capability to match that speed, and then he can use the Sharingan to copy those movements and speed and apply it to his own techniques.
The Sharingan cannot copy chakra control, because it's not something that you can "see", and chakra control of that magnitude isn't something that can be copied anyway, because much like Kekkei Genkais, it's a trait which one must be born with.
My big experience with Naruto fandom has taught me something I wish all Sakura/ss fans could understand: mostly haters don't dismiss both Sakura and ss because they are âdumbâ or lack reading comprehension, they just do that because Sakura/ss get in the way of their fav characters and ships and since the fandom validate their bs, they feel secure in their obsessive hatred and delusion. This why there are the double standards towards Sakura and ss.
What still keeps them going on with their sick hatred is the fact that in their eyes, Sakura didn't get âpunishedâ for her âsinsâ (not loving Naruto romantically, but his rival. Being the female leader, being an emotional woman and being sidelined by her own writer, as if it was her fault or as if shounen isn't a genre where the main focus is glorify men) and since these people are also bitter, they want the fans to be bitter, too. It's literally a case of projection. In Twitter since 2020, people literally create hateful accounts every fucking day just to stalking and harassing Sakura/ss fans. If they couldn't get a revenge on her in canon neither ss being as miserable as they wished, they don't want to see people showing anything positive about her/ss, since they know so well their hatred is irrational and biased.
I just wish Sakura/ss fans could stop giving them so much attention. It empowers them and it truly make them feel they're somehow brave, when they are nothing but a bunch of cowards who think harming real people over a drawing is a great move.
Sorry, I've been pretty busy recently so this ask has been sitting in my inbox for quite a while.
I agree with you, anon, at least to a degree. Most of the time it's really wiser to try and ignore the haters, it's what I do too. Mainly because from my experience it's wasted time to talk back to them, because even if your arguments are better than theirs, even if you have solid proof for your point, they won't acknowledge that anyway, let alone change their mind. After all, they're not starting the argument (or rather fight) with the intention to be convinced. They don't even want to have a constructive discussion, so I don't bother trying to start one with them.
But. The problem is, even if everyone ignored them, they wouldn't stop. And I get other fans who want to talk back to them. Most of the time they don't want the haters to completely take over a platform and I support that.
Nonetheless I am not one of those who talk back (anymore) and I try to avoid confrontations with haters completely. While I recommend doing the same, I fully support those fans who still talk back too. If I ever see a confrontation like that, I can always show my support by liking the comments of the Sakura/SasuSaku fans.
