Tie runs over to the old man and gives him a big hug and a kiss to the cheek. He was already on the verge of tears seeing his friend after so long. Burying his face into Audi's shoulder he whimpered a little. "Where were you?"

Audrich’s cheeks immediately flushed a bright crimson as he stood motionless for several awkward seconds before wrapping his arms around the other doctor. “I umm was out living elsewhere for a bit and working other jobs. I came back because I missed the work here and… some of the people.” He gently pats Tie’s back several times.

Audrich froze at the change in tone from his friend. He had in fact forgotten how fast Tie’s mood could shift. He mentally notes he will have to change the pens when Tie is not around. For the time being he quietly follows Tie, occasionally glancing around the hallways.

Audrich steps into the room, taking in how Tie had decorated the place. He moves to the bed that seems less inhabited and sets his bag down while beginning fumbling around in it. He pulls two beer bottles that read “Tuborg” on the label.

“Tell me what you have been doing since I left.” After opening one of the bottles he offers it to Tie.

The room was filled with nautical decor. Anchors were on the wall along with diagrams of sharks, pictures of lighthouses, and submarines. Jars upon jars of shells were scattered throughout the room. A display case of shark teeth was sitting on the desk near Tie’s bed along with a cup filled with pens most of them stained a red hue.

Empty pill bottles were scattered by the bed and full bottles sat on the nightstand.

The side of the room that had Audrich’s new bed was bare and there seemed to be an invisible line that divided the room. One side decorated the way Tie liked and the other completely bare.

Once in the room Tie stuck a couple pills into his mouth and followed Audrich to the bare bed.

“Ah… you know same old same old.” He said before swallowing the pills in his mouth. “I ran away for a while and went to the beach which is where I got all the shells and other ocean finds.”

Taking the offered beer he took a small sip. It was gross but he didn’t show his distaste for it on his face.

“It has been rather boring around here. But I managed to make some friends and kept myself busy. What about you? How have your adventures been?”

Audrich found a sort of comfort in the nautical environment, except for the pens which disturbed him, but it definitely was Tie’s style. It really made him realize just how much he missed the other man’s company.

Audrich opens his own bottle and nods while listening closely to Tie’s story he takes a giant swig from his own bottle.

“Sounds like a pretty nice vacation. I hope you enjoyed it.”

He gave Tie a quick pat on the shoulder.

“Yeah, I have been in Denmark tying up some loose ends. It was nice. I was actually staying close to the coast.”

Audrich takes another sip from his drink and sighs.

“I’m starving. Do you have anything to eat?”

Audrich’s cheeks immediately flushed a bright crimson as he stood motionless for several awkward seconds before wrapping his arms around the other doctor. “I umm was out living elsewhere for a bit and working other jobs. I came back because I missed the work here and… some of the people.” He gently pats Tie’s back several times.

“I brought back some beer from where I was living, we can share a few drinks while you tell me.” Audrich can’t help but to grin at Tie’s eagerness. He missed his optimistic attitude and happily follows him.

“I only have this one bag with me so unpacking isn’t a problem. Nein, I will take you pens. You have no choice. You can have safety pens.” Audrich made a stern, almost angry, face at Tie.

“Show me where our room is so I can start the pen replacement now.”

“Oh okay!” Tie wasn’t much of a drinker but he would drink with his friend.

“Alright! That makes it simple.” Tie began to lead Audi to their room but paused when he was told the pens would be taken. Giving Audrich a glare Tie frowned.

“But I need them.” His tone went from chipper to murderous.

After a moment his glare softened and he rolled his eyes.

“Uuuuuugh. Just follow me.” His tone changed back to normal. Hopefully Audrich hadn’t forgotten how quick Tie’s temperament could change.

It didn’t take long for then to reach the room. Tie opened the door and held it for the other medic.

“Here we are!”

“No, really it’s okay! I would love to be roommates again!” He gives Tie a gently squeeze on his shoulder to reassure him.

“And I am glad to see you too. It has been too long since the last time we spoke.” Audrich gently smiles towards his friend.

Here came the water works again. Just when he thought he had calmed some he began crying again.

“I would like that a lot.” He hated being in a room alone. Audrich already knew all his bad habits so he didn’t need to hide anything from him.

“Ja. It has been too long…” He sniffled and wiped at his face again. The hand on his shoulder was comforting.

“I am so happy! I can not wait to tell you so many things! I got bit by a shark and everything!” He gave a laugh.

Grabbing Audrich’s hand he gave it a tug.

“Come this way I will help you unpack! I left half the room untouched just in case I got a new room mate.” He then paused for a moment.

“Do not steal my pens though.”

Tie’s grip got tighter as he felt Audrich pat his back.

“Oh..” He managed to squeak out. “I missed you…”

That was an understatement. The med bay seemed lonely without his friend. He was so happy to see the other man. In fact he was only now registering that he had kissed Audrich.

Pulling away from the hug quickly his face became red and he gave a nervous laugh as tears streaked his face.

“I am sorry for such a bold greeting. I do not know what came over me. I am just so happy to see you. We could be room mates again! I do not have to be alone anymore. Ah sorry that sounds weird how I said it.”

Clearing his throat he wiped at his face with his sleeve.

“I am really glad to see you.”
