Thorfinn

🌾 Thorfinn is a photographer who travels around the world to get the best possible photos he can 🌾

🌾 Throfinn is obsessed with the Vinland expeditions and has gone to Vinland himself to take pictures 🌾

🌾 Thorfinn has his own online blog where he posts all his photos 🌾

🌾 His wife Gudrid and sons Karli and Snorri, travel with him of course and Karli an Snorri are both very interested in his job 🌾

Einar

🌾 I can’t picture Einar as anything but a farmer, he loves to farm, he loves how much work he gets to put into it and how much he gets out of it 🌾

🌾 Einar’s main Crop is wheat of course, he also plants, he also does broccoli, potatoes and oaks as well 🌾

🌾 Einar sells his crops at his local farmers market 🌾

🌾 Einar also has pigs, sheep, cows and donkeys as well 🌾

Canute

🐻‍❄️ Canute works at a animal sanctuary, he loves to spend his time playing with all the animals and of course they love him 🐻‍❄️

🐻‍❄️ Canute loves to cook for the Animals as well, he uses the skills Ragnar passed onto him of course 🐻‍❄️

🐻‍❄️ Canute was going to be a baker, but after Ragnar passed, he couldn’t bare to do it without him 🐻‍❄️

🐻‍❄️ Canute loves being able to provide for the animals In need, he loves being able to help protect the weak like how Ragnar did for him when he was young 🐻‍❄️

Askeladd

🦉 Askeladd is a historian, who will visit colleges and provide lectures for the semester or two 🦉

🦉 Askeladd mainly works to help keep the memory of past events, he has wrote multiple books about Avalon and Artorius 🦉

🦉 His main location of work is the museum in Wales, where he also lives 🦉

🦉 Askeladd has been to where Avalon was believed to be, he went there while writing his book and to inspect ruins and lost items 🦉

Bjorn

🐻 Bjorn sells hand made, animal clothing on Etsy. He uses yarn, satin and felt 🐻

🐻 Bjorn is a huge activist for the animal community and donates his profits to animal shelters and charities 🐻

🐻 Askeladd helped Bjorn get a small magazine deal to talk about his animal activism 🐻

🐻 He also works part time at the museum Askeladd works at and will give tours of the animal fossil rooms and tell the animals stories in depth🐻

Snake and Olmar

🐍 Snake works for a modeling agency and manages all types of models. Olmar is a fashion designer that works for snake and credits the designs he wants 🦌

🐍 Snake loves his job and he loves making money that’s for sure but his favorite part about his job is working with Olmar. Olmar loves being able to create his designs and have his own free will of course with Snakes suggestions, Snake was the one who got Olmar his job as well 🦌

🐍 Snake loved the clothes Olmar had made for him in the past so he made sure that Olmar got the job and immediately hired him to work with him 🦌

🐍 Snake as we know is a flirter and he loves to take his models out to make sure that they are having fun and taking care of themselves. Olmar doesn’t care for going out with the models but he does love going out to eat and you can’t blame the guy especially when the foods on Snake 🦌

Gudrid

🌻 Gudrid is a Biological oceanographer, she studies plants, animals and the basic environment of the ocean 🌻

🌻 Gudrids always has a passion for the ocean and was overjoyed when Thorfinn started traveling by Boat because she would finally get a chance to start her career 🌻

🌻 Gudrid main goal is to discover a new species of plant of Animal 🌻

🌻 Gudrids favorite part is interacting with all the animals and going underwater 🌻

Hild

🏹Hild is an engineer who mainly works in making crossbows and bows. She loves the process of making bows and it comes very easily for her 🏹

🏹 She was inspired by her father’s engineering and eventually became even better than him. She worked for her father for a while before going to school 🏹

🏹 After school she was able to start working on her own, she mainly works on commissions that are harder and more complicated for other engineers 🏹

🏹 Hild and Gudrid went to school at the same time and became friends, Hild has gone to Vinland with Thorfinn to see how different the engineering is there 🏹

Plmk

🦌Plmks work will always be motivated by his community and his peoples past. So Plmk is a paleontologist who is working to recover fossils of his peoples history 🦌

🦌 Plmk lives in Vinland and met Thorfinn, Gudrid and Hild and showed them around Vinland. From all the engineering, the oceans and the best photo spots 🦌

🦌 Plmk wants to keep his peoples history alive, he loves sharing with others about his people, so you know he has a field day when the three of them showed up 🦌

🦌 Plmk donates the fossils to his local museum and he goes there to talk about his people’s history 🦌

Who are the werebeasts ?

Bjorn is a WereBear! Thorkell and Ylva are WereCat’s and Thorgil is a WereWolf!

Bjorn is very much a WereBear, we all know that Bjorn is a Bear and him being a Werebeast just makes sense. Thorkell, Ylva and Thors would have all been WereCats before Thors died. Thors was a rouge WereCat basically and that’s why he was invited into the JomsVikings, And then the WereCat gene trickled down to Ylva! Thorgil just gives off Werewolf vibes honestly I mean look at him he just channels that energy!

Who are the Vampire’s?

Canute and Estrid just give off Vampire vibes, they are both royals and I feel like any royals could give off vampire vibes. Askeladd is a classic Vampire, he’s the type of guy that’s been alone for who knows how long and is looking for his purpose. Helga also gives off Vampire vibes honestly, I think she gets the Vampire gene from her mother. All of these characters just give off elegant vampire vibes!

Who are the Headless Horsemen?

Ketil was believed to be the real headless horse man, but it was actually the real Iron Fist Ketil instead. Snake was also a headless horsemen and Iron Fist’s right hand man. Olmar somehow does end up becoming the Headless Horseman, after Snake ends up placing his trust in him at the end of the Farmland arc.

Who’s the Grimreaper?

Thorfinn originally wasn’t any type of monster, which of course deeply annoyed baby Thorfinn. Although after being exposed to Thors death right in front of him, he was given the powers grim reaper. Thorfinn hoped to the one to kill Askeladd but he only given got to pass his soul into the afterlife, which was what triggered Thorfinn’s big change in this AU.

Who is the LochNess Monster and the Kraken ?

Lief is the friendly LochNess Monster, who adopts orphaned children and keeps them safe, he was with Thors when he ‘ died ‘ but he actually became The Kraken! Although this fact isn’t known to many people eventually Thorfinn figures this out and is able to reunite with his father and tell him how much he’s grown!

Who are the Furies (or Erinyes)?

First of Furies are monsters that punish people for their misdeeds or crimes. Although I do not think Arnheid or Gardar would do this I do think that they both haunt the narrative of course and I think because of that they remain peolpe of their misdeeds. Brodd certainly would haunt Olmar for him killing him, as we see Olmar hallucinate him. Brodd also would take his teasing to far when it comes to haunting his past members of the kings guard for being to weak or not doing enough. Hild for a period of time would have haunted aThorfinn for what he did to her Father and his crew killing her whole family. Although once she sees that Thorfinn has changed she turns into Thorfinn’s guardian instead.

Who are the Zombies?

Gudrid was turned into a zombie after one of her secret sailing trips went wrong, Lief was actually who turned her into the Zombie. Since monsters are normal in this AU Gudrid literally looks the exact same but is just slightly green. It was more embarrassing to her to go back to her family and get scolded by her mother, but nothing really changes for her and she doesn’t stop sneaking off to sail. Wulf was revived by Harald after he perished in battle, Wulf’s life also doesn’t change very much but he actually evens for respect for being so strong that Harald wanted to bring him back from the dead. Of course no matter how strong Wulf is Harold would have brought him back.

Who is the Witch and Wizard?

Hallgerd is a Witch who can turn People into Mummies, although people can also be born as Mummies. Hallgerd had to turn Sigrud into a Mummy after he got himself into a stupid accident and His life didn’t change much besides being a damn mummy and Hallgerd rightfully telling him not be stupid. Harald can turn people into Zombies, you cannot be born as a Zombie you have to die to become a Zombie. Although somehow Lief can also turn people into Zombies but Lief’s just special like that.

I associate most of what I listen to with Vinland saga bc I’m brain rotted beyond repair and it’s usually Coldplay or like Radiohead/AIC/LP bc for some reason they have a lot of songs that fit different characters and their arcs and just the overall themes of the story
