bloodyeamon:
How many days had it been since heâd crossed the threshold of his home to the outside world? It didnât take him long to figure out that it had been five days in total, without interruption, without disturbance. The sunlight, no matter if it was artificial, felt too bright in comparison to the darkened rooms he was leaving behind for the time being. Not for too long, he hoped. Unfortunately, it was impossible to remain in the same place forever without running dry of the essentials. Even a vampire needed things to stay alive, even if he wasnât technically alive at all.Â
It was probably too early to be having a drink, but Eamon sat in the corner of Red Mill regardless. His plans had been to restock on the things he needed, mainly blood, and return home. But as he went along he couldnât help thinking of his favorite blood infused drink, which drew him directly to the bar. The atmosphere was dark enough and the vampire easily downed his fourth shot with little effect on his mind. Heâd have to drink the entire bottle if he was going to feel the beginnings of anything, and he had started to consider it. He did have an entire bottle in front of him, after all.
Pouring yet another, Eamon passed his eyes around the sparse crowd. He touched the small glass lightly to his lips, hesitating only a fraction of a second when he saw someone heading in his direction. The vampire dropped his gaze immediately, as not to make eye contact that may be mistaken for some kind of invitation. Throwing back the shot, he held onto the hope that he looked just as unapproachable as he felt.
Working the club was one thing, but drinking there was completely different. For one, the dancers proved to be too distracting for him to properly get lost in his thoughts, as they were expected to do--because that was their job. And two, it wasnât a good look for an employee to be getting drunk every day, even off the clock. So the Red Mill was Blueâs escape. His home-away-from-home. His safe-space.Â
The familiar noticed right away that his usual spot was being occupied by an ass that was not his own, he even paused, reluctant to pick another seat over insisting the stranger to move. Sure, it was just a bar stool, but it was his bar stool. âScotch,â he ordered, even more grumpy now than before. Get over it, he told himself, grumbling still as his drink was set before him. Itâs just a chair.Â
Blue sipped from his glass, but wasnât able to ignore the fact that his inner-child was throwing an absolute tantrum. âYou know,â he started, turning to direct all of his attention, no matter how ridiculous it might be, to the man next to him. âThatâs my spot. Well, in the unconventional sense, of course. I donât own it, but I always sit there.â Silver eyes cast down as he immediately regretted saying what he did. But now that it was out there, he felt a little better. âIgnore me, itâs been a long day.âÂ
sesengrows:
It sounded like a good compromise to Sesen and he nodded happily and ordered a big glass of water, no ice. Heâd never met anyone quite like Blue before and it really was fun. Maybe it was the mask that gave Sesen enough of a confidence boost to put himself out there or maybe it was the fact that Blue himself seemed so interested but whatever the case, Sesen was happy to follow the familiar to the table that was free. If it gave him the opportunity to hold Blueâs hand again, well, all the better.Â
When Blue took off his mask, Sesen laughed, looking around also to see if they were going to get in trouble before smiling wide at the newly revealed face in front of him. The smile softened as Blue teased at his own expense but Sesen was already shaking his head âYou areâŠâ he started as his hand came up so he could brush the backs of his fingers along Blueâs cheek, âAnything but a monster and, uhmâŠâ he let out a little laugh, dropping his eyes, wishing he could be so brave without the mask on, âYouâre veryâŠâ weird wasnât exactly appropriate and thankfully, Sesen caught himself before he said it, âIâll still tell you secrets.â he finally settled on, âBut you have to tell me things, too.âÂ
He touched the edge of his mask gently as he moved to sit, setting his water on the table as he did. One hand on the back of the chair and he realized theyâd be quite far apart - too far for his liking - and that just would not do. A furtive glance at Blue just to check if he thought what he was doing was strange before Sesen moved the chair closer with an embarrassed smile.Â
Perhaps on the same wave-length, Blue inched closer as well, closing in whatever space was between them. He didnât like having to shout his secrets and classified information for the masses to hear, either. His brows furrowed, knitting together in bewilderment when Sesen didnât finish yet another sentence, but the familiar chalked it up to nerves and anxiousness. âOkay. Well, Iâll tell you some things, too. Itâs only fair, I suppose.âÂ
Blue ran his tongue over his lips and teeth, collecting the remnants of liquor that soaked in like it would make him any less nervous about this unusual situation. âOkay.. Iâm just gonna jump right into it. Sesen--howâd you get that name, and where are you from? I just canât see you being a native to this place. You seem very different from the rest of the others that Iâve met so far.â And most all of them were from elsewhere themselves, so that was his second indication that Sesen was, like him, somewhat new.Â

like-a-snake:
Monty exhaled sharply, reaching up to pinch the bridge of his nose in a gesture that clearly suggested he was reaching the end of his patience. âNow look here. I have made every allowance for you. I have been more than understanding. You know that if you continue to behave this way, your actions will result in consequences.â He paused for a moment, glaring. âAnd so I repeat, one last time. You need to move.â
Apollo stared up at him blankly from where he was flopped in the middle of the sidewalk, as he had been for the past five minutes. As if to add insult to injury, the little stump of a tail wagged back and forth a few times, clearly not comprehending his ownerâs annoyance.
âOh for the love ofâŠÂ Fine, you win,â Monty grumbled. With another few choice words mumbled under his breath - mainly plans to rescind squeaky toy privileges - Mont scooped the pudgy little dog into his arms and turned to continue on their walk. Unfortunately, heâd managed to become significantly distracted enough that he immediately bumped into somebody going the opposite direction, Apollo yelping indignantly at being caught between the two bodies. âAhâŠmy apologies.â
After a hellish couple of days, Blue had locked himself away from the world and chose to work on a project heâd been, until now, simply experimenting with. Practical effects makeup. But mostly fake blood and laceration tissue that he wanted to make look realistic. But being cooped up for so long drove him stir crazy, so here he was, braving the world again.Â
Only to be bumped into. As per usual. He was always bumping into others and being in the way.Â
âNah, mate. Itâs my fault. I wasnât paying attention. Too busy looking at your adorable little pup.â The familiar, who was a dog himself, obviously had a fondness for his own kind and wasted no time in reaching to pet him. âWhatâs his name? How old?âÂ
8.Do you cry easily?
âNo. I donât cry. I drink.âÂ
26.Suppose you see your ex kissing another person what would you do?
âAsk if I can tag in for round two.âÂ
42.Do you believe that everyone has a soul-mate?
âSure, why not? I thought I met mine once. Itâs not impossible.âÂ
28. Are you a forgiving person?
âLost too many years of my life to be holding grudges and anger. I forgive, but I donât easily forget.âÂ
13) Do you believe in love?
âSure. Had it once or twice. But itâs silly to live only for love.âÂ
30. Do you fall for people easily?
âOnly if they got pretty eyes. Actually, I find interactions difficult in general, so no.âÂ
18. When was the last time you smiled?
âItâs not as if I keep track of everything I do, but probably this morning.âÂ

jesse-mciver:
âGot a short memory then? Iâd suggest gettinâ to know people gain, but that can be very tiresomeâ. Jesseâs smile didnât fall from his face, despite the bitter words. âJust bring back up and youâll be fine. âAh, Iâm head of Police, what âbout you? Names, Jesse Mciver, pleasure to meet youâ.
There wasnât a surefire way to check the expression on his face, but Blue could feel the corners of his mouth pulling down. Was he pouting? He was pouting. The mere idea of mingling made his ass itch and he wasnât having it. Nevertheless, it was pointless to be a sourpuss at the kind officer. âHey, Jesse, Iâm Blue Cassidy...just your run of the mill bouncer. Nice meeting you too, and Iâll keep the backup thing in mind ferâ the next one a these shindigs.â In all reality, it was sound advice. âWell I wont take up any more of your time. Besides, the bar is calling my name like a lady of the night. Canât keep her waiting.âÂ
sirensongki:
It made him feel eased as he danced with him, his head resting against the others large chest, his eyes closed as he listened to the familiar heart beat. It soothed him⊠but the aching of his legs was pulling him from the moment. He heard Blueâs words, a frown coming across his lips. It was true though. He hadnât fully hydrated lately, the small tub in his hotel not big enough. He was to busy working to swim at the pool. He simply nodded his head. âThatâs fine. Honestly, Iâm starting to think you just want to see my scales again.â He chuckled, legs wobbling slightly. Thank whatever God that he was still holding onto Blue. He might have fallen already.
âOh no, youâve foiled my plans,â he teased. âHow did you ever discover my intentions?â Ki, like most sirens, not only had a beautiful voice, but stunning features. His scales, his eyes, hell--his skin was incredible. But in all his years, in all his encounters with sirens, Ki was just a little more special. Maybe Blue was biased, who knows? âCome on. Letâs get you some water and maybe youâll feel better.â Blueâs drink was put down, because Kiâs well being was more important than his own drunkenness, and he escorted his old friend to elsewhere on the property. A fountain. Small and underwhelming, but it would suffice. âPromise Iâll get you to a pool or something later.âÂ
sesengrows:
A heavy sigh accompanied Sesenâs little shake to his head as he confirmed the no drinking. Pengting, there it was again and Sesen still had no idea what it meant but he couldnât ask because for some reason Blue was apologizing for even bringing it up which didnât make sense. He was shaking his head a little, expression apologetic as his lips parted to try and say that it was all okay because how would he even have known? Sesen wouldnât dream of expecting someone to change something just because he coul- Racing thoughts were instantly silenced when Blue gestured to their hands, bringing all of Sesenâs focus to that point of contact between them.Â
That was a thing that was bad?
âI, uhâŠâ Sesen looked back up still confused why Blue thought their holding hands and his gentle caresses were a bad thing and he huffed out a little breath as he smiled. He needed to do so many things to rectify the situation that he barely knew where to start, âWell, you see⊠it is pretty top secret information so I canât just⊠tell you in the middle of a crowd but I donât want to be⊠I canât be responsible for a broken heart.â he was terrible at keeping a straight face, never good at deadpanning things, fighting constantly to stop his smile from peeking through, âYou donât have to stop drinking on my account so letâs go get the drinks you were gonna get anyway and then I can tell you all my secrets.â Feeling emboldened that Blue hadnât turned tail and run on him, Sesen took a half step closer as he gently squeezed the warm hand in his own.Â
âOh top secret. Uh-huh. Guess Iâll just apply for clearance and get the intel then.â This was fun. More fun than heâd intended to have, obviously, and with an absolute stranger, go figure. Blue never allowed himself to relax, or enjoy himself..or life. Because when his hands were idle (not working or painting or being busy), he got himself into trouble, and trouble was something he desperately wanted to avoid.Â
âWell I donât wanna get plastered and forget your secrets. One drink and weâll sit, talk or dance or whatever striking men like yourself enjoy doing.â He ordered an extra-dirty martini and specified the order of his garnishes. Olive, onion, olive. Yes, heâs been let down before, and no, he wasnât going to have mediocrity with his drink. Not now, not ever.Â
âTable available over there... away from everyone so interruptions will be at an all time minimum.â Drink in hand, he placed his free one back in Sesenâs (because he liked the feel of the otherâs soft skin so much) and led him to the empty space.Â
âSo Iâm going to break the rules and..â Remove the mask, he did. Call the coast guard. Call the army. Blue looked around, awaiting an ambush. When it didnât happen, he smiled with ease. âThatâs better. Thing was starting to bug the hell outtaâ me. Besides... figure Iâd show you the monster behind the mask before you go and fall for my charming personality or something,â he teased, âNo, but seriously, I find you fascinating and Iâd love to learn more about you.âÂ
