Gem design request for @blue-grey-pearl ! Based on the sketch they did 👀
This was so fun to make, and the palette is soooooft and cute too
This is Lavender Chalcedony! They’re a fusion of Purple Spinel and Blue-Grey Pearl, both of whom served high-ranking military gem Tanzanite. They slowly became closer during the war against the Crystal Gems until they were fused every time Tanzanite wasn’t around, which led to them being caught, poofed, and left on the battlefield to be shattered later. They reformed before that could happen and escaped, fusing again and living alone on Earth. They were caught in the Diamonds’ corruption blast and split, Spinel becoming an otterlike creature and Pearl resembling a hare. They stayed together despite their lack of sentience, and were eventually poofed and bubbled by the CGs, before being healed with everyone else at the beginning of era 3. They currently attend some classes at Little Homeschool, both fused and apart, but spend most of the rest of their time making new friends or daydreaming.
