Mantis not being truly useful should it come to repairs decided she would be better used for the crew by searching for parts or tools or anything to help the others working on their ship. And with her on her search was Loki, recently reunited they were inseparable. Not that it was any sort of problem at all. She certainly felt safer and more confident with her lover walking with her.
She was kneeling on the ground looking for useful tools but so far they were turning up short on the needed supplies. Instruments that she knew would be useful for them were nowhere to be seen and this worried her a little as it was imperative that they continue to move and leave this ‘Counter-Earth’. Loki was kind enough to give her a hand to her feet, and she smiled warmly at him, “Thank you, my love,” She shyly looks away but then her face drops as she looks around the ground. “There is a lot here but nothing that the others could find useful I believe. And does the atmosphere seem off to you as well? It feels heavy and alarming.”
“It does,” he muttered, glancing from Mantis to the sky around them. This verse of Earth was off in every sense of the word. He couldn’t quite pinpoint the specifics or even how they ended up here. But at least they were together and they would figure a way out together.
“Did you find anything, love?”
His eyes glossed over her hands and found nothing. That figured. There wouldn’t be any tools lying around for their use. He could only hope that by the time they walk back to the ship it would be ready for take off. But highly unlikely considering who were working on it.
“Are you alright to walk?” Loki didn’t think much of her statement before but now wondered if the air’s pressure was too much for her. Not giving much warning, Loki quickly picked her up and began carrying her bridal style towards the ship and their team. “Sorry, love. Won’t take any chances,” he grinned.
