You’ll never see me rpfing in relation to romantic relationships. I, however, do need Connor and Hudson to be besties forever and never stop being besties. Putting on my "guy who makes everything about amatonormativity" hat but I'm still thinking about how the initial transfer of the hivemind virus happened via kissing. They tried to convert Carol by making a man kiss her. A representation of the social ideal of "romance" and "love" and something that everyone is supposed to want and which is enforced on those who don't want it. Something about how "you'll be so much happier once you become one of us" sounds a lot like "once you meet the right person you'll see our side and you'll realize it's better this way". Something about how "we've been you but you've never been us" sounds a lot like "well how do you know you don't want it if you haven't tried?". Zosia kissing Carol as a way to appease her, to stop her from working against them any more. Love as conformity. Love without being given a choice in the matter. Love as a threat.
