Tumblr has completely barred me from posting a long post.
So this rant will be semi long. fair warning, my opinions are probably a little harsh?.. do be polite though in your reblogs. thanks ^^;
I loved playing Dandy's world, but The toon of the week, has caused me to quit and has completely killed my motivation to play it. I am tired of the "grind for a skin!", gameplay, that all games have adapted into their formula to keep you staying, when the lore should be more than enough to engage you, especially like how it did for me, when I first played in 2025.
and the fact that Dandy's World decided to do this to an overboard extent, has me so fatigued. and very frustrated with it as a whole.
When I first joined, I came for the lore and was pleased with learning more about the mysteries that they were slowly revealing, Hell, Finn and Sprout's Toon of the week has me wondering,
if Sprout will realize that his dependency can be a little toxic/unhealthy, and that he can learn to love Cosmo from a distance.
Will Finn finally realize that humoring situations will only get you so far???
We probably won't get those answers, and instead will be force-fed a literal skin to "explain the lore", when only one skin that does that.. is Boxten's skin. that clearly isn't being talked about in lore anymore, so how is it lore relevant still, if your not fucking USING it in the story at all??, (Unless I'm missing something.) I started playing in 2025. EARLY 2025.
I still love DW and will make theories and read fanfics and engage in content, hell, make art and versions of my characters, (to which I am planning a Dandy's world rewrite AU. mightttt?, share it?.. I am not sure.) but I like the fans content more than the game.
because at this point, at least ya'll can actually explore the Ichor operation a lot faster, than this game has ever done, throughout the 2 years, it's been out, and nearly out of ALPHA.
We should get more lore about what the fuck is going on with Dandy. DID Gardenview ACTUALLY close because of him?, IS IT actually his fault?, or are the toons blaming him, because he's the face of the show??, he's a morally gray character, so.. go in more depth about how he feels more?, besides gossip???
I think it's almost poetic that fans are able to actually GET to the point, instead of this game and it's sad and frustrating to me as a writer.
because I was hoping they could've talked about him too. don't get me wrong, I love Sprout and the others, but we rarely get to talk about Dyle either anymore. besides a few notes of him not being a main character and only a train operator, and that's it.
Hell, what about Brusha and Tisha??, can we get more lore on em?.. will they ever patch-up their loose ends????, no???.. how about a skin for these troubling times..
