Over time, I think you would become Alyosha's favorite prey.
It's nothing morbid, nothing grotesque. His desire to harm you is nil, the mere thought of watching you shed a single tear - let alone more - is enough to make him feel queasy, particularly if your anguish was directly caused by his hand.
However, his instincts as a hunter serve him wonderfully in this particular predicament. Alyosha would gently tail you whenever you run errands, making sure that no harm comes your way. He learns your schedule by heart with how much he incorporates this into his own daily routine, so much so that he starts to keep notes. On the wooden desk in his home lays a small stack of papers, each word on it detailing everything he deems useful. Alyosha can tell your weight and height by just looking at you, and he makes sure to write down any other information he can get his hands on. Soon enough, other things make their way into the notes, such as your favorite treats, stores, or whatever places you like to go to in your free time.
Unfortunately though, he is unable to constantly monitor you. His duties are endless, not to mention that he is always strapped for cash and working. Be it his work with the Rokot or in the theater, he's a busy man from dusk till dawn.
This is where Tugarin steps in. Oh, how he loves that dog. But with this, there truly was no better partner than his loyal hound. Tugarin never fails to wag his tail whenever he spots you, always demanding your attention to rub his soft belly, but still ensuring that you stay close to civilization.
When his cabin grows cold and darkness takes over the sky, Alyosha fondly skims through the pile of notes he has collected. Tugarin sits by his side with a grin, as if congratulating the hunter on a job well done. Alyosha sometimes catches himself whispering how troublesome all of this is, but he would still much rather focus on you than anything else in the world.
He's unsure how he feels about giving you such a title. Prey typically means something that must be killed, never to be seen again. Here, the situation was a stark opposite - he wanted nothing more than to hold you right between his hands, keep you warm by the fire and do everything he could in his power to ensure your safety.
If he could... he would love to make you happy as well.
Alyosha was just not sure about how to approach this delicate topic. For now, he was content with being your second shadow. As long as you were out of harm's way, there was really no reason for him to get his hands dirty.
Although, if something did happen to occur... He was sure that the sound of his riffle could mask any scream which might echo in the dark winter night.
