Kai hums with a soft nod, “I don’t know many who do, I suppose its a survival technique isn’t it?” After all if people were seeing some kind of dangerous creature they were more likely to want to put it down. It was the ones that seemed normal that were the dangerous type. “Me? Oh I’m a lot of things, you’re gonna have to be more specific. What type of supernatural am I?” He raises brow with a sly smile on his face. “I’m a hybrid in a way I guess, heretic is what my coven called them. Vampires with the ability to use magic, handy really.”

tamryn nodded. “you do what you have to to survive,” she quipped softly. she knew about that. how one has to start thinking in greys sometimes just to keep going and survive. sometimes you can’t afford black and white. “oh yeah? well that sounds like fun,” she chuckled playfully. “but yes supernatural was what i was asking at the moment. ooooh fancy. witchy vampires. that’s a new one. does sound rather handy.”

Dex took a hesitant step backwards as his digits eventually relaxed around the concealed knife. As an ex hunter, he could appreciate the whole, ‘being jumpy’ gig. “That’s uh, a pretty neat trick you got there.”

tamryn sat back on her hands on the ground and looked up at him, trying to figure him out. “thanks. i even do parties,” she joked. “you’re a wolf? smelled like a wolf when i was felined out,” she asked.

Dex’s digits flexed impatiently around the handle of his weapon, still ensuring that it remained out of view from the panther. His movements eventually halted as he attempted to get a good look at the other, his nostrils flaring slightly as he sought after their scent, to determine whether the creature was one from Avalon, or a shifter of sorts. “I’m not gonna hurt you” he assured, his palm extending out towards the panther to support his claim that he meant no harm. “Just hoping there’s an actual person in there, is all.”

tamryn shifted her head as she observed him. she didn’t smell anything that would prove that he was trying to hurt her. she relaxed a little before deciding it was a better idea to just shift back. especially after his last statement. she relaxed and let herself shift back into a person. “sorry guess i’m just a little jumpy sometimes,” she quipped.

When the panther began to shift and reemerge as a human-looking woman, Bonnie was unable to hide the expression of surprise that crossed her face. “Whoa - okay, that’s new… never met someone that could turn into a cat before. Just wolves.” She commented with a half-chuckle before giving a nod and small smile at the woman’s question. “Yeah, I am. Name’s Bonnie.” She introduced herself. “How were you able to tell?” She questioned curiously.

tamryn couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle. she nodded, leaning back on her hands casually. even as a person, she still enjoyed the outdoors. “yeah? well i guess shapeshifters don’t have the biggest numbers anymore. don’t really know. i was kind of out of commission for a little while,” she replied. “i’m tamryn. oh it was just your hands. witches are always doing stuff with their hands. at least that i’ve noticed so far.”

It was rare that Dex didn’t have a hunting knife strapped across his body somewhere and so of course when he saw what appeared to be a panther, sprawled out in a seemingly public place, he didn’t hesitate to reach for it as he hesitantly approached, “what the fu-..”

tamryn looked up when she heard someone enter her vicinity. she saw him reach for something but didn’t know what it was, letting off a soft growl in warning. she did not want to have to defend herself in fairy land. she moved so she was more alert.

The sunlight was warm that afternoon and Bonnie had just finished up an early shift at the Apothecary. With her schedule cleared for the rest of the day, she had opted to take a stroll through the Gardens for a little while. Since her arrival on the Isles, the Gardens had become somewhat familiar to her - a place she could come to think about things.

She hadn’t accounted for the large, onyx feline sprawling out in the warm sunlight as she stepped around a bend. Her eyes widened and she took a small breath. “Oh…well, that wasn’t on my list of things to expect for today…” He commented. “Um, nice kitty? Don’t mind me…” She raised her hands - both out of an instinctual sign of non-hostility, but also to prepare to defend herself if necessary.

tamryn looked up when she heard someone approaching. she was still relaxed and not posed to pounce or anything. she tilted her head as she observed the other walking towards her. she let out a soft little chuff at the other. she wasn’t interested in attacking.

tamryn sat up and tilted her head before changing back into her human form. “i’m not gonna hurt you, no worries. just chilling out,” she quipped. “what are you, a witch?” she asked.

tamryn was lounging around the gardens. she loved the feeling of the sun on her. she was glad that she was comfortable in her panther form again. it took awhile for her to get there but now she loved stretching out in her feline form. ( @theislesreblogs )

Kai gives a soft nod of his head with a understanding pout to his lip, “I guess that makes sense, I mean don’t most of the supernatural get some kind of sharp teeth other than the witches?” He wasn’t a huge fan of the fangs, not that he hated his, he just saw more fun in being creative with any kills.

tamryn made a dramatic thinking expression. “hmm. i suppose you have a point there. huh, never thought of it like that. though there aren’t a lot that have their sharp teeth out all the time,” she quipped with a chuckle. “so what are you, then?” she asked curiously.

Taking up a job just seemed like the logical approach here. nothing made someone seemed more well blended into the community as them working beside the very people of said community. A bar just seemed like the best choice for a young looking man who had little experience in the working world. And given the type of world they were in, questions of his whereabouts, his past and such weren’t heavily invested in. “Chick down at the end sent this, I’m not one to tell someone not to shoot their shot but I do warn you, I caught a glimpse of a mouthful of sharp teeth. Do with that information what you will.”

tamryn had always enjoyed bars. fun times, easy stealing, and drama was always present when she went to a bar. however, she wasn’t really sure how to steal things in avalon. she was cautious about abilities and even that they could kill her, panther or not. she slid into a stool at the bar and observed for a moment. she looked over when she heard the bar tender and chuckled. “well i guess i sometimes have sharp teeth too so sounds interesting,” she said playfully, taking a sip.

It was late and Cordelia couldn’t sleep, not wanting to wake her husband knowing he was going through turmoil with his brother she instead chose to sneak out of their home and made her way to their own personal garden. It was full of flowers and trees that she was growing herself along with a few others that had just sprouted out of nowhere, she loved them all the same having an appreciation for plant life since early childhood.

She felt at peace outside with nature, the moonlight shining down around her and surrounded by her plants.

Suddenly she heard what sounded like a twig or a branch breaking in the distance and it caused her to turn, looking around at her surroundings.

“Who’s there?” Cordelia called defensively as she stood her ground and held herself tall, “Come out and show yourself to me.” She commanded finally.

tamryn loved taking moonlight strolls in her feline form. it was very freeing, to know that she was safe in either form there on the islands. she enjoyed wandering around by herself in gardens, even sneaking into other’s gardens. a simple enjoyment from when she was a thief in the human world. she wasn’t usually caught but could tell there wasn’t a way out of that one. she let out a chuff before approaching.

Dimitri had been out in the gardens admiring the plant life, he was having some trouble adjusting to the life of a hybrid and his own untimely demise. But being out in nature helped, it made him feel almost normal again.

When he heard someone approaching him he turned, confused at the furious expression on the strangers face. Opening his mouth to ask if the person was okay he was shocked when their palm suddenly connected with his face, snapping it to the side with a ferocity that left his cheek red and stinging.

“I suppose this means you’ve met my brother.”

tamryn had been lounging in the gardens in her feline form, getting some sun. she loved the feeling of avalon. much different from the human world. she didn’t feel as trapped on the island. it was nice.

she looked up when she heard someone approaching quickly towards another and tilted her head to watch what unfolded. she let out a sound that would probably have been a chuckle if she was in her human form.
